Bayynat website is a purposeful mission – driven website with a purpose, founded by His Eminence, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah (ra), to keep pace with the accelerating needs on the Internet and those of the emulators (muqallideen), and increase to enhance communication with believers in across all parts of the world.
The website has evolved over the years in terms of form, technology, and content.
Website history:
It was established in 1417 AH (1996 AD) to communicate with Muslims in different parts of the world, as a result of the Internet’s increasing growth.
Its services were limited to publishing some news, Friday sermons, and other articles in Arabic, only in PDF format, in addition to another section in English.
In 1419 AH (late 1998 AD), the Arabic site was developed in different formats, and added more languages were added (English, French, and Spanish). It included articles, Friday sermons, and lectures, as well as an audio library, which included Friday sermons, lectures, and various activities.
The website was updated again in 1420 AH (2001 AD), in form and content, with the addition of various new sections, but with the absence of the French and Spanish languages.
Then it evolved again in 1425 AH (2004 AD), in form and content, with the addition of various new sections, in Arabic, English and French. The site changed slightly on several occasions, especially after the departure of His Eminence, the Sayyed.
Later, it evolved again in 1436 AH (2015 AD), in form and content, with the elimination of sections and the addition of new ones, along with diverse content, in Arabic, English, French, and Portuguese. The site website was later modified to become mobile-friendly.
