In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

General Acts for the Month of Shaaban: It is narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (p.): "Shaaban is my month, whoever fasts one day of my month shall be granted Heaven."
Al-A'mal al-'Ammah li-Shahr Sha'ban: Anin-Nabiyy Muhammadin (s.a.w): "Sha'banu shahri, man saama yawman min shahri wajabat lahu al-jannah".
1- To Seek Forgiveness (Istighfar): That the Muslim says every day: "I seek forgiveness from Allah and I ask Him for repentance," seventy times. For it has been reported that in it is a great reward, as the forgiver shall be gathered on the Day of Resurrection among the company of the Messenger of Allah (p.), and the favor from Master, the Most High, shall become incumbent upon him, and he shall be written free from the Fire and shall pass the path (As-Sirat) to Heaven and dwell in the Abode of Permanence, and Allah shall forgive his sins even if they were the number of the stars. And it has been reported that the seeking of forgiveness seventy times in it is like the seeking of forgiveness in the rest of the months seventy thousand times.
Al-Istighfar: An yaqula al-Muslimu fi kulli yawmin: "Astaghfiru Allaha wa as'aluhu at-tawbah", sab'ina marrah. Fa-qad warada anna fihi thawaban 'aziman, idh yuhsharu al-mustaghfiru yawma al-qiyamah fi zumrati rasul Allahi (s.a.w), wa tajibu lahu al-karāmatu min Allahi ta'ala, wa tuktabu lahu al-bara'atu min an-nar wa al-jawazu 'ala as-sirati lil-jannah wa hululu dar al-qarar, wa yaghfiru Allahu lahu dhunubahu wa law kanat bi-'adadi an-nujum. Wa warada anna al-istighfara fihi sab'ina marrah mithlu al-istighfari fi sa'iri ash-shuhuri sab'ina alfa marrah.
2- Charity (As-Sadaqah): That one gives charity in this month, even with half a date. And the confirmation of that has come in several narrations, and: "Whoever gives charity in Shaaban, Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, shall breed it for him just as one of you breeds his small camel, until he meets [Allah] on the Day of Resurrection, and it has become like [Mount] Uhud."
As-Sadaqah: An yatasaddaqa fi hadha ash-shahr, wa law bi-nisfi tamrah. Wa qad ja'a at-ta'kidu li-dhalika fi 'iddati riwayat, wa: "Man tasaddaqa bi-sadaqatin fi Sha'ban, rabbaha Allahu jalla wa 'azza lahu kama yurabbi ahadukum fasilah, hatta yuwafi yawma al-qiyamati wa qad sarat mithlu Uhud."
3- To say a thousand times: "There is no god except Allah, and we do not worship except Him, sincerely devoting the religion to Him, even if the polytheists dislike it."
4- Prayer (As-Salat): And among what was reported in the Hadiths, is that one prays two Raka’s on every Thursday of it:
As-Salat: Wa mimma warada fi al-ahadith, an yusalliya fi kulli khamisin minhu rak'atayn:
In the first Rika’a, Al-Fatiha once, and At-Tawheed one hundred times. And in the second, Al-Fatiha once, and At-Tawheed one hundred times, then when he concludes the prayer (Tasleem), he invokes blessings upon the Prophet and his Household one hundred times, so that Allah may fulfill every need of his religious and worldly affairs.
Fi al-ula, al-Fatihatu marrah, wa at-Tawhidu mi'ata marrah. Wa fi ath-thaniyah, al-Fatihatu marrah, wa at-Tawhidu mi'ata marrah, fa-idha sallama, salla 'ala an-nabiyyi wa alihi mi'ata marrah, li-yaqdiya Allahu lahu kulla haajatin min umuri dinihi wa dunyah.
5- Fasting (As-Siyam): It is narrated that the skies are adorned on every Thursday of Shaaban, and the Angels say: "Our God, forgive its faster, and answer his prayer."
As-Siyam: Yurwa anna as-samawati tatuzayyanu fi kulli khamisin min Sha'ban, fa-taqulu al-mala'ikatu: Ilahuna, ighfir li-sa'imihi, wa ajib du'a'ah.
And in the Hadith: "Whoever fasts the days of Monday and Thursday of Shaaban, Allah shall fulfill for him twenty needs of his worldly needs, and twenty of his needs for the Hereafter."
Wa fi al-Hadith: "Man saama yawmay al-Ithnayn wa al-Khamis min Sha'ban, qada Allahu lahu 'ishrina haajatan min hawa'ij ad-dunya, wa 'ishrina haajatan min hawa'ij al-akhirah."
6- Abundant Invocation of Blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.
Al-ikthar min as-salat 'ala Muhammadin wa alihi.
7- To recite the supplications narrated of Imam As-Sajjad (a.s.) at every noon-decline (Zawal) of the days of Shaaban.
Qira'at al-ad'iyah al-marwiyyah 'an al-Imami As-Sajjad (a.s.) 'inda kulli zawalin min ayyami Sha'ban.
8- To recite the Munajat Ash-Shaabaniyya; a whispered supplication that The Commander of the Faithful and the Imams from his progeny (a.s.) used to recite this supplication in the month of Sha'ban:
an taqra'a al-munajat ash-sha'baniyya wa hiya munajatun, amir al-mu'minin wal-a'immatu min waladihi 'alayhim al-salam kanu yad'una biha fi sha'ban:
