بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
This is a comprehensive (yet brief) visitation prayer (Ziyarah Jami'ah Mukhtasara) of utmost significance, for Fridays, after obligatory prayers, and at any time.
(You turn towards the Qibla and say):
Peace be upon our Master, the Messenger of Allah, The best of Allah's creation, The Bearer of Glad Tidings and the Warner, The Luminous Lamp, The Pure and Purified, The Manifest Standard, The Supported and Aided, The Guided Messenger, The Most Eminent Chosen One, The Beloved of the Lord of the worlds, Aba al-Qasim Muhammad ibn Abdullah; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Rasoolillah, khairi khalqillah, al-bashir an-nadhir, as-siraj al-munir, at-tuhri at-tahir, al-alam adh-dhahir, al-mansur al-mu'ayyad, ar-rasool al-musaddad, al-mustafa al-amjad, habibi ilahi al-alamin, Abi al-Qasim Muhammad ibni Abdillah, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدنا رسول الله، خَيرِ خلق الله، البشير النذير، السراج المنير، الطّهر الطاهر، العَلَم الظاهر، المنصور المؤيّد، الرسول المسدّد، المصطفى الأمجد، حبيب إله العالمين، أبي القاسم محمّد بن عبد الله، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Mistress, Fatima al-Zahra, The Lady of the women of the worlds; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon her.
Assalamu ala Sayyidatina Fatima az-Zahra, Sayyidati nisa'i al-alamin, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدتنا فاطمة الزهراء، سيدة نساء العالمين، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ali, The Pure, the Sincere Counselor, the Trustworthy; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Abi Muhammad al-Hasan ibni Ali, az-Zakiy an-Nasih al-Amin, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدنا أبي محمد الحسن بن علي، الزكي الناصح الأمين، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Ali ibn al-Husayn, The Ornament of the Devout and the Master of those who Prostrate; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Ali ibni al-Husayn, Zayn al-Abidin wa Sayyidi as-sajidin, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدنا علي بن الحسين، زين العابدين وسيد الساجدين، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Muhammad ibni Ali al-Baqir, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدنا محمد بن علي الباقر، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Ja'far ibni Muhammad as-Sadiq, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيدنا جعفر بن محمد الصّادق، ورحمة الله وبركاته .
(Then you turn to the East and say):
Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful (Amir al-Mu'minin), Peace be upon you, O Master of the Successors (Sayyid al-Wasiyyin), Peace be upon you, O Leader of the Pious (Imam al-Muttaqin), Peace be upon you and upon your two companions in repose: Adam and Noah, And upon your two neighbors: Hud and Salih; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon you.
Assalamu alayka ya Amir al-Mu'minin, Assalamu alayka ya Sayyid al-Wasiyyin, Assalamu alayka ya Imam al-Muttaqin, Assalamu alayka wa ala dhajee'ayka Adam wa Nuh, wa ala jarayka Hud wa Salih, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام عليك يا أمير المؤمنين، السلام عليك يا سيّد الوصيين، السلام عليك يا إمام المتقين، السلام عليك وعلى ضجيعيك آدم ونوح، وعلى جاريك هود وصالح، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdullah (al-Husayn), Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah and son of the Commander of the Faithful and son of Fatima al-Zahra, the Lady of the women of the worlds, Peace be upon you and upon your two elevated, martyred sons, And upon your brother, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, And upon all the others martyred with you. Would that we were with you, that we might achieve a mighty triumph! And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon you.
Assalamu alayka ya Aba Abdillah, Assalamu alayka ya ibna Rasoolillahi wa ibna Amiril-Mu'minina wa ibna Fatimata az-Zahra Sayyidati nisa'i al-alamin, Assalamu alayka wa ala walidayka al-aliyayn ash-shahidayn, wa ala akhika Abil-Fadli al-Abbas, wa ala sa'iri al-mustashhadina ma'ak, ya laytana kunna ma'akum fa nafooza fawzan adheema, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام عليك يا أبا عبد الله، السلام عليك يا ابن رسول الله وابن أمير المؤمنين وابن فاطمة الزهراء سيدة نساء العالمين، السلام عليك وعلى ولديك العليين الشهيدين، وعلى أخيك أبي الفضل العباس، وعلى سائر المستشهدين معك، يا ليتنا كنا معكم فنفوز فوزاً عظيماً، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Musa ibn Ja'far al-Kazim; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Musa ibni Ja'far al-Kazim, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيّدنا موسى بن جعفر الكاظم، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Ali ibn Musa al-Rida; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Ali ibni Musa ar-Rida, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيّدنا علي ابن موسى الرضا ، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Jawad; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Muhammad ibni Ali al-Jawad, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيّدنا محمد بن علي الجواد، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, Ali ibn Muhammad al-Hadi; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina Ali ibni Muhammad al-Hadi, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيّدنا علي بن محمد الهادي، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Peace be upon our Master, al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Askari; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon him.
Assalamu ala Sayyidina al-Hasan ibni Ali al-Askari, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام على سيّدنا الحسن ابن علي العسكري، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
(Then you return to the Qibla and say):
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Age (Sahib al-Zaman), Peace be upon you, O Successor of the All-Merciful (Khalifat al-Rahman), Peace be upon you, O Manifestor of Justice and Faith, May Allah hasten your emergence and facilitate your reappearance, and make us among your supporters, your helpers, and those martyred before you. And peace be upon you and upon your pure forefathers; And the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon you.
Assalamu alayka ya Sahib az-Zaman, Assalamu alayka ya Khalifat ar-Rahman, Assalamu alayka ya mudhir al-adli wal-iman, Ajjalallahu farajaka wa sahhal makhrajaka, wa ja'alana min ansarika wa a'wanika wal-mustashhadina bayna yadayk. Wa Assalamu alayka wa ala aba'ika at-tahirin, wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
السلام عليك يا صاحب الزمان، السلام عليك يا خليفة الرحمن، السلام عليك يا مُظهر العدل والإيمان، عجّلَ الله فَرَجك وسَهّل مخرجك، وجعلنا من أنصارك وأعوانك والمستشهدين بين يديك. والسلام عليك وعلى آبائك الطاهرين، ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Supplication (Istighatha) to Allah after the Visitation:
Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil? (Recite 5 times)
Amman yujeebu al-mudtarra idha da'ahu wa yakshifus-soo'!
أمن يجيب المضطر إذا دعاه ويكشف السوء! ( 5 مرات)
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
Ya Allah! Ya Allah! Ya Allah! Ya Allah!
يا الله! يا الله! يا الله! يا الله!
O Allah, heal the sick among the believing men and believing women, and remove the evil from us and from them, and grant relief for us and for them and for every believing man and woman, a swift and near relief, like the blink of an eye, or even nearer than that! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
Allahumma shafi mardha al-mu'minina wal-mu'minat, wakshif as-soo' anna wa anhum, wa farrij anna wa anhum wa an kulli mu'minin wa mu'minah, farajan ajilan qariban ka lamhi al-basari aw huwa aqrabu min dhalik, Ya Allah ya Allah ya Allah ya Allah.
اللهم شافِ مرضى المؤمنين والمؤمنات، واكشف السّوء عنا وعنهم، وفرّج عنا وعنهم وعن كل مؤمنٍ ومؤمنة، فرجاً عاجلاً قريباً كلمح البصر أو هو أقرب من ذلك، يا الله يا الله يا الله يا الله.
O Allah, remove this anguish from this nation. O Allah, change the ill condition we are in to the goodness that is with You. O Allah, rectify every corrupt state of affairs of the Muslims.
Allahumma ikshif hadhihi al-ghumma an hadhihi al-ummah. Allahumma ghayyir soo' halina bi husni halik. Allahumma aslih kulla fasidin min umoori al-muslimeen.
اللهم اكشف هذه الغُمّة عن هذه الأمة. اللهم غيّر سوء حالنا بحسن حالك. اللهم أصلح كل فاسد من أمور المسلمين.
O Allah, grant victory to Islam and the Muslims. O Allah, free the Muslim captives from the hands of the oppressors. O Allah, free the captives of the struggling believers from the hands of the oppressors. O Allah, free the lands of the Muslims from the rule of the oppressors.
Allahumma unsur al-Islam wal-muslimeen. Allahumma fukka asra al-muslimeena min aydi adh-dhalimeen. Allahumma fukka asra al-mujahideena min aydi adh-dhalimeen. Allahumma fukka bilada al-muslimeena min hukm adh-dhalimeen.
اللهم انصر الإسلام والمسلمين. اللهم فك أسرى المسلمين من أيدي الظالمين. اللهم فك أسرى المجاهدين من أيدي الظالمين. اللهم فك بلاد المسلمين من حكم الظالمين.
O Allah, grant victory to those striving in Your Cause. O Allah, grant them a glorious victory, and facilitate for them an easy opening, and appoint for them from Yourself a supporting authority.
Allahumma unsur al-mujahideena fi sabilik. Allahumma unsurhum nasran azizan, wa iftah lahum fathan yaseeran, waj'al lahum min ladunka sultanan naseera.
اللهم انصر المجاهدين في سبيلك. اللهم انصرهم نصراً عزيزاً، وافتح لهم فتحاً يسيراً، واجعل لهم من لدنك سلطاناً نصيراً.
O Allah, we long for a noble State (Dominion) through which You will grant might to Islam and its people, and humiliate hypocrisy and its people, and make us therein among those who invite to Your obedience and the leaders to Your path and grant us thereby the honor of this world and the Hereafter.
Allahumma inna narghabu ilayka fi dawlatin karimah, tu'izzu biha al-Islam wa ahlah, wa tudhillu biha an-nifaq wa ahlah, wa taj'aluna fiha min ad-du'ati ila ta'atik wal-qadati ila sabilik, wa tarzuquna biha karamata ad-dunya wal-akhirah.
اللهم إنا نرغب إليك في دولة كريمة، تعزّ بها الإسلام وأهله، وتذلّ بها النفاق وأهله، وتجعلنا فيها من الدعاة إلى طاعتك والقادة إلى سبيلك، وترزقنا بها كرامة الدنيا والآخرة.
O Allah, unite us upon goodness, guidance, and the word of piety, and help us against our own selves as You help the righteous against their own selves, O Lord of the worlds. By Your Mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful ones.
Allahumma ijma'na ala al-khayri wal-huda wa kalimati at-taqwa, wa a'inna ala anfusina bima tu'inu bihi as-salihina ala anfusihim ya Rabbal-alamin. Bi rahmatika ya Arham ar-Rahimeen.
اللهم اجمعنا على الخير والهدى وكلمة التقوى، وأعنّا على أنفسنا بما تعين به الصالحين على أنفسهم يا رب العالمين. برحمتك يا أرحم الراحمين.
