O God, You are my trust in every affliction, and my hope in every hardship. And You are for me, in every matter that descends upon me, trust and preparation. How many an affliction the heart weakens from, the means are few in it, the friend is forsaken in it, and the enemy rejoices in it? I brought it down upon You and complained of it to You, out of a desire from me toward You, away from anyone other than You. So You relieved it and removed it. For You are the Master of every blessing, and the owner of every good, and the ultimate end of every desire.
Allahumma Anta thiqati fi kulli karb, wa raja'i fi kulli shidda, wa Anta li fi kulli amr nazala bi thiqatun wa 'udda. Kam min karb yad'ufu anhu al-fu'ad, wa taqillu fihi al-hila, wa yakhdhulu fihi al-sadiq, wa yashmatu fihi al-adu, anzaltuhu bika wa shakawtuhu ilayk, raghbatan minni ilayka amman siwak, fafarrajtahu wa kashaftah, fa Anta waliyyu kulli ni'ma, wa sahibu kulli hasana, wa muntaha kulli raghba.
اللّهُمَّ أَنْتَ ثِقَتِي فِي كُلِّ كَرْبٍ، وَرَجَائِي فِي كُلِّ شِدَّةٍ، وَأَنْتَ لِي فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ نَزَلَ بِي ثِقَةٌ وَعُدَّةٌ. كَمْ مِنْ كَرْبٍ يَضْعُفُ عَنْهُ الْفُؤَادُ، وَتَقِلُّ فِيهِ الْحِيلَةُ، وَيَخْذُلُ فِيهِ الصَّدِيقُ، وَيَشْمَتُ فِيهِ الْعَدُوُّ، أَنْزَلْتُهُ بِكَ وَشَكَوْتُهُ إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً مِنِّي إِلَيْكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ، فَفَرَّجْتَهُ وَكَشَفْتَهُ، فَأَنْتَ وَلِيُّ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ، وَصَاحِبُ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ، وَمُنْتَهَى كُلِّ رَغْبَةٍ.
