بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, to You belongs the praise, O Originator of the heavens and the earth, Possessor of Majesty and Generosity, Lord of all lords, and God of every worshipped one, and Creator of every creature, and Inheritor of everything, there is nothing like Him, and the knowledge of nothing is hidden from Him, and He encompasses everything, and He has power over all things.
Alhamdu lillahi Rabbi al-alamin. Allahumma laka alhamdu badia assamawati wal-ardi, ya Dha aljalali wal-ikram, Rabba al-arbabi wa-ilaha kulli ma'luh, wa khaliqa kulli makhlug, wa waritha kulli shay'in, laysa ka-mithlihi shay'un, wa la ya'zubu 'anhu 'ilmu shay'in, wa huwa bi-kulli shay'in muhitun, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadirun.
الْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، أللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ بَدِيْعَ السَّموَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، يا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإكْرَامِ، رَبَّ الأَرْبَابِ وَإلهَ كُلِّ مَألُوه، وَخَالِقَ كُلِّ مَخْلُوق، وَوَارِثَ كُلِّ شَيْء، لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَـيْءٌ، وَلا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ عِلْمُ شَيْء، وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْء مُحِيطٌ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء قَديرٌ.
You are Allah, there is no god but You, the Single, the Singular, the Unique, the One and Only, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the Generous, the Self-Exalting in Generosity, the Magnificent, the Self-Exalting in Magnificence, the Great, the Self-Exalting in Greatness, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the High, the Exalted, the Severe in Might, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the All-Merciful, the Ever-Merciful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, the Ancient, the All-Aware, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the Generous, the Most Generous, the Perpetual, the Most Enduring, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the First before every single one, and the Last after every number,
Anta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alAhadu alMutawahhidu, alFardu alMutafarridu, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alKarimu alMutakarrim, alAzimu alMutaazzim, alKabiru alMutakabbir, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alAliyyu alMutaal, ashShadidu alMihal, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta arRahmanu arRahimu, alAlimu alHakim, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta asSamīu alBasiru alQadimu alKhabir, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alKarimu alAkramu adDaimu alAdwam, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alAwwal qabla kulli ahadin, waalAkhiru ba'da kulli adad,
أَنْتَ الله لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ الأَحَـدُ الْمُتَوَحِّدُ، الْفَرْدُ الْمُتَفَرِّدُ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ الْكَرِيمُ الْمُتَكَرِّمُ، الْعَظِيمُ الْمُتَعَظِّمُ، الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ العَلِيُّ الْمُتَعَالِ، الْشَدِيْدُ الْمِحَـالِ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ الـرَّحْمنُ الرَّحِيمُ، الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيم، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ، الْقَدِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ الْكَرِيمُ الأكْرَمُ، الدَّائِمُ الأَدْوَمُ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ الأوَّلُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ أَحَد، وَالآخِرُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ عَدَد.
And You are Allah, there is no god but You, the Near in His height, and the High in His nearness, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the Possessor of Splendor, Glory, Greatness, and Praise, and You are Allah, there is no god but You, the One who originated things from no root, and depicted what You depicted from no example, and invented the newly invented things without imitation. You are the One who measured out everything with a measure, and made everything easy with an ease, and managed what is beneath You with a management.
WaAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta adDani fi uluwih, walAli fi dunuwih, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta Dhu alBahai walMajd, walkibriyai walHamd, waAnta Allahu la ilaha illa Anta alladhi anshata alashyaa min ghayri shibh, wa sawwarta ma sawwarta min ghayri mithal, wabtada'ta almubtada'ati bila ihtidha, Anta alladhi qaddarta kulla shay'in taqdira, wa yassarta kulla shay'in taysira, wa dabbarta ma dunaka tadbira.
وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ الدَّانِي فِي عُلُوِّهِ، وَالْعَالِي فِي دُنُوِّهِ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ ذُو الْبَهَاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْحَمْدِ، وَأَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأْتَ الأشْيَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ شبْح، وَصَوَّرْتَ مَا صَوَّرْتَ مِنْ غَيْرِ مِثال، وَابْتَدَعْتَ الْمُبْتَدَعَاتِ بِلاَ احْتِذَاء، أَنْتَ الَّذِي قَدَّرْتَ كُلَّ شَيْء تَقْدِيراً، وَيَسَّرْتَ كُلَّ شَيْء تَيْسِيراً، وَدَبَّرْتَ مَا دُونَكَ تَدْبِيْراً.
And You are the One whose creation no partner assisted, and whose command no minister backed, and for whom there was no equal and no peer. You are the One who willed, and what You willed was a certainty, and decreed, and what You decreed was justice, and judged, and what You judged was equity. You are the One whom no place contains, and whose sovereignty no authority stands up against, and whom no proof or explanation tires. You are the One who counted every single thing in number, and assigned a term to everything, and measured out everything with a measure.
WaAnta alladhi lam yu’inka ala khalqika sharikun, walam yuazirka fi amrika wazirun, walam yakun laka mushabihun wala nazir, Anta alladhi aradta fakana hatman ma aradt, waqadayta fakana adlan ma qadayt, wahakamta fakana nisfan ma hakamt, Anta alladhi la yahwika makanun, walam yaqim lisultanika sultanun, walam yu’yika burhanun wala bayanun, Anta alladhi ahsayta kulla shayin adadan, waja’alta likulli shayin amadan, waqaddarta kulla shayin taqdira.
وَأَنْتَ الَّذِي لَمْ يُعِنْكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ شَرِيكٌ، وَلَمْ يُؤازِرْكَ فِي أَمْرِكَ وَزِيرٌ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ مُشَابِهٌ وَلا نَظِيرٌ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَرَدْتَ فَكَانَ حَتْماً مَا أَرَدْتَ، وَقَضَيْتَ فَكَانَ عَدْلاً مَا قَضَيْتَ، وَحَكَمْتَ فَكَانَ نِصْفاً مَا حَكَمْتَ، أَنْتَ الَّـذِي لا يَحْوِيْـكَ مَكَانٌ، وَلَمْ يَقُمْ لِسُلْطَانِكَ سُلْطَانٌ، وَلَمْ يُعْيِكَ بُرْهَانٌ وَلا بَيَانٌ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَحْصَيْتَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ عَدَدَاً، وَجَعَلْتَ لِكُلِّ شَيْء أَمَداً، وَقَدَّرْتَ كُلَّ شَيْء تَقْدِيْراً.
You are the One whose selfhood imaginations fall short of, and whose nature intellects are incapable of, and the eyes have not comprehended the location of Your where-ness. You are the One who is not limited so as to be confined, and has not been represented so as to be concrete, and has not begotten so as to be begotten. You are the One with whom there is no contrary to oppose You, and no equal to outnumber You, and no peer to rival You. You are the One who originated and devised, and brought forth and innovated, and perfected the making of what He made.
Anta alladhi qasurati alawham an thatiyatik, waajazati alafham an kayfiyatik, walam tudriki alabsaru mawdi'a ayniyatik, Anta alladhi la tuhaddu fatakuna mahduda, walam tumaththal fatakuna mawjuda, walam talid fatakona mawluda, Anta alladhi la didda maaka fayu'anidaka, wala idla laka fayukathiraka, wala nidda laka fayu'aridaka, Anta alladhi ibtada wakhtara, wastahdatha wabtada, waahsana sun'a ma sana.
أَنْتَ الَّذِي قَصُرَتِ الأوْهَامُ عَنْ ذَاتِيَّتِكَ، وَعَجَزَتِ الأَفْهَامُ عَنْ كَيْفِيَّتِكَ، وَلَمْ تُدْرِكِ الأَبْصَارُ مَوْضِعَ أَيْنِيَّتِكَ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي لا تُحَدُّ فَتَكُونَ مَحْدُوداً، وَلَمْ تُمَثَّلْ فَتَكُونَ مَوْجُوداً، وَلَمْ تَلِدْ فَتَكُونَ مَوْلُوداً، أَنْتَ الَّذِي لا ضِدَّ مَعَكَ فَيُعَانِدَكَ، وَلا عِدْلَ لَكَ فَيُكَاثِرَكَ، وَلاَ نِدَّ لَكَ فَيُعَارِضَكَ. أَنْتَ الَّـذِي ابْتَدَأ وَاخْتَـرَعَ وَاسْتَحْدَثَ وَابْتَـدَعَ وَأَحْسَنَ صُنْعَ مَا صَنَعَ.
Glory be to You! How magnificent is Your station, and how sublime is Your place among places, and how clear is Your distinction by truth! Glory be to You, from a Kind One, how kind You are, and a Compassionate One, how compassionate You are, and a Wise One, how knowing You are! Glory be to You, from a Sovereign, how impregnable You are, and a Generous One, how vast You are, and a Sublime One, how high You are, the Possessor of Splendor, Glory, Greatness, and Praise. Glory be to You, You have stretched forth Your Hand with all good things, and guidance is known to come from You, so whoever seeks You for religion or for this world, finds You. Glory be to You, whoever runs within Your knowledge submits to You, and whatever is beneath Your Throne humbles itself to Your greatness, and all Your creation yields to submission to You.
Subhanak ma ajalla shanak, waasna fil amakini makanak, waasdaa bil haqqi furqanak, Subhanaka min latefin ma altafak, warawfin ma arafak, wahakimin ma arafak! Subhanaka min malikin ma amnaak, wa jawadin ma awsaak, wa rafeein ma arfaak, Dhu al bahai wal majd, walkibriyai wal hamd, Subhanaka basatta bil khayrati yadak, wa urifati alhidayatu min indik, famani altamasaka lidinin aw dunya wajadak. Subhanaka khadaa laka man jara fee ilmik, wakhashaa liazaamatik ma duna arshik, wa nqada liltasleemi lak kullu khalqik.
سُبْحانَكَ مَا أَجَلَّ شَأنَكَ، وَأَسْنَى فِي الأمَاكِنِ مَكَانَكَ، وَأَصْدَعَ بِالْحَقِّ فُرقَانَك، سُبْحَانَكَ مِنْ لَطِيف مَا أَلْطَفَكَ، وَرَؤُوف مَا أَرْأَفَكَ، وَحَكِيمٍ مَا أَعْرَفَكَ! سُبْحَانَكَ مِنْ مَلِيْكٍ مَا أَمْنَعَكَ، وَجَوَادٍ مَا أَوْسَعَكَ، وَرَفِيعِ مَا أَرْفَعَكَ، ذُو الْبَهاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْحَمْدِ، سُبْحَانَكَ بَسَطْتَ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ يَدَكَ، وَعُرِفَتِ الْهِدَايَةُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، فَمَنِ الْتَمَسَكَ لِدِينٍ أَوْ دُنْيا وَجَدَكَ. سُبْحَانَكَ خَضَعَ لَكَ مَنْ جَرى فِي عِلْمِكَ، وَخَشَعَ لعَظَمَتِكَ مَا دُونَ عَرْشِكَ، وَانْقَادَ لِلتَّسْلِيْمِ لَكَ كُلُّ خَلْقِكَ.
Glory be to You, You are not perceived by sense, nor felt, nor touched, nor plotted against, nor resisted, nor encompassed, nor contended with, nor competed with, nor disputed, nor challenged, nor deceived, nor tricked. Glory be to You, Your path is smooth, and Your command is guidance, and You are the Ever-Living, the Eternal. Glory be to You, Your word is judgment, and Your decree is certain, and Your will is determination. Glory be to You, there is no repeller of Your will, and no changer of Your words. Glory be to You, O dazzling with signs, O Creator of the heavens, O Originator of the souls.
Subhanaka la tuhass, wala tujass, wala tumass, wala tukad, wala tumat, wala tuhat, wala tunaza, wala tujara, wala tumara, wala tumanan, wala tukhada, wala tumakar, Subhanaka sabeeluka jadad, waamruka rashad, waAnta Hayyun Samad, Subhanaka qawluka hukm, waqadaoka hatm, wairadatuka azm, Subhanaka la radda limashiyyatika, wala mubaddila likalimatik, Subhanaka bahira alayati, fatira assamawati, bari annasamat.
سُبْحَانَكَ لاَ تُحَسُّ، وَلاَ تُجَسُّ، وَلاَ تُمَسُّ، وَلاَ تُكَادُ، وَلاَ تُمَاطُ، وَلاَ تُحَاطُ، وَلاَ تُنَازَعُ، وَلاَ تُجَارى، وَلاَ تُمارى، وَلاَ تُمانَنْ، وَلاَ تُخَادَعُ، وَلاَ تُمَاكَرُ، سُبْحَانَكَ سَبِيلُكَ جَدَدٌ، وَأَمْرُكَ رَشَدٌ، وَأَنْتَ حَيٌّ صَمَدٌ، سُبْحَانَكَ قَوْلُكَ حُكْمٌ، وَقَضَاؤُكَ حَتْمٌ، وَإرَادَتُكَ عَزْمٌ، سُبْحَانَكَ لاَ رَادَّ لِمَشِيَّتِكَ، وَلاَ مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِكَ، سُبْحَانَكَ بَاهِرَ الآياتِ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ، بَارِئ النَّسَماتِ.
To You belongs praise, a praise that endures with Your endurance, and to You belongs praise, an eternal praise by Your blessing, and to You belongs praise, a praise that equals Your work, and to You belongs praise, a praise that exceeds Your pleasure, and to You belongs praise, a praise alongside the praise of every praiser, and thanks that the thanks of every thank-giver falls short of, a praise that is not fitting except for You, and by which closeness is not sought except with You, a praise by which the first [blessing] is sustained, and by which the permanence of the last [blessing] is sought, a praise that is multiplied through the repetition of ages, and increases in successive multiples, a praise that the guardian angels are incapable of counting, and exceeds what the scribes have counted in Your Book, a praise that balances Your Glorious Throne, and equals Your Exalted Footstool, a praise whose reward is completed with You, and whose recompense includes every reward, a praise whose outward is in accord with its inward, and whose inward is in accord with the sincerity of intention within it, a praise like which no creature has praised You, and whose merit no one knows except You, a praise by which one who strives to count it is assisted, and one who plunges deeply to fulfill it is supported, a praise that gathers what You have created of praise, and arranges what You are to create after, a praise no praise is nearer to Your saying than it, and no one is more worthy of praise than him who praises You with it, a praise that necessitates the increase by Your generosity through its abundance, and which You join with increase upon increase, as a favor from You, a praise that is necessary for the generosity of Your Face, and meets the glory of Your Majesty.
Laka alhamdu hamdan yadumu bidawamik, walaka alhamdu hamdan khalidan bini'matik, walaka alhamdu hamdan yuwazi sun'ak, walaka alhamdu hamdan yazidu ala ridak, walaka alhamdu hamdan maa hamdi kulli hamid, washukran yaqsuru anhu shukru kulli shakir, hamdan la yanbaghi illa lak, wala yutaqarrabu bihi illa ilayk, hamdan yustadam bihi alawwalu, wayustad'a bihi dawamu alakhir, hamdan yatada'afu ala kururi alazminati, wayatazayadu ad'afan mutaradifatan, hamdan ya'jizu an ihsa'ihi alhafazatu, wayazidu ala ma ahsat-hu fi kitabika alkalatabatu, hamdan yuwazinu 'arshaka almajid, wayuadilu kursiyyaka arrafi', hamdan yakmulu ladayka thawabuh, wayastaghriqu kulla jazain jazauhu, hamdan zahiruhu wafqun libatinih, wabatinuhu wafqun lisidqi anniyyati fih, hamdan lam yahmadka khalqun mithluh, wala ya'rifu ahadun siwaka fadlah, hamdan yu'anu mani ijrahada fi ta'didih, wayuayyadu man aghraqa naz'an fi tawfiyatih, hamdan yajma'u ma khalaqta min alhamdi, wayantazimu ma Anta khaliquhu min ba'd, hamdan la hamda aqrabu ila qawlika minh, wala ahmada mimman yahmaduka bih, hamdan yujibu bikaramika almazida biwufurih, watasiluhu bimazidin ba'da mazidin tawlan mink, hamdan yajibu likarami wajhik, wayuqabilu 'izza jalalak.
لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدَاً يَدُومُ بِدَوامِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْداً خَالِداً بِنِعْمَتِكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْداً يُوَازِي صُنْعَكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْداً يَزِيدُ عَلَى رِضَاكَ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْداً مَعَ حَمْدِ كُلِّ حَامِد، وَشُكْراً يَقْصُرُ عَنْهُ شُكْرُ كُلِّ شَاكِر، حَمْداً لاَ يَنْبَغِي إلاَّ لَكَ، وَلاَ يُتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ إلاَّ إلَيْكَ، حَمْداً يُسْتَدَامُ بِهِ الأوَّلُ، وَيُسْتَدْعَى بِهِ دَوَامُ الآخِرِ، حَمْداً يَتَضَاعَفُ عَلَى كُرُورِ الأَزْمِنَةِ، وَيَتَزَايَدُ أَضْعَافَاً مُتَرَادِفَةً، حَمْداً يَعْجِزُ عَنْ إحْصَائِهِ الْحَفَظَةُ، وَيَزِيدُ عَلَى مَا أَحْصَتْهُ فِي كِتابِكَ الْكَتَبَةُ، حَمْداً يُوازِنُ عَرْشَكَ المَجِيْدَ، وَيُعَادِلُ كُرْسِيَّكَ الرَّفِيعَ، حَمْداً يَكْمُل لَدَيْكَ ثَوَابُهُ، وَيَسْتَغْرِقُ كُلَّ جَزَآء جَزَاؤُهُ، حَمْداً ظَاهِرُهُ وَفْقٌ لِبَاطِنِهِ، وَبَاطِنُهُ وَفْقٌ لِصِدْقِ النِّيَّةِ فِيهِ، حَمْداً لَمْ يَحْمَدْكَ خَلْقٌ مِثْلَهُ، وَلاَ يَعْرِفُ أَحَدٌ سِوَاكَ فَضْلَهُ، حَمْداً يُعَانُ مَنِ اجْتَهَدَ فِي تَعْدِيْدِهِ، وَيُؤَيَّدُ مَنْ أَغْرَقَ نَزْعَاً فِي تَوْفِيَتِهِ، حَمْداً يَجْمَعُ مَا خَلَقْتَ مِنَ الْحَمْدِ، وَيَنْتَظِمُ مَا أَنْتَ خَالِقُهُ مِنْ بَعْدُ، حَمْداً لاَ حَمْدَ أَقْرَبُ إلَى قَوْلِكَ مِنْهُ، وَلاَ أَحْمَدَ مِمَّنْ يَحْمَدُكَ بِهِ، حَمْداً يُوجِبُ بِكَرَمِكَ الْمَزِيدَ بِوُفُورِهِ، وَتَصِلُهُ بِمَزِيْدٍ بَعْدَ مَزِيْدٍ طَوْلاً مِنْكَ، حَمْداً يَجِبُ لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِكَ، وَيُقَابِلُ عِزَّ جَلاَلِكَ.
My Lord, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, the Chosen, the Select, the Honored, the Brought Near, with the best of Your blessings, and bless him with the most perfect of Your blessings, and have mercy upon him with the most enjoyable of Your mercies. My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household, a pure blessing, than which there is no purer blessing, and bless him with an increasing blessing, than which there is no more increasing blessing, and bless him with a pleasing blessing, above which there is no blessing. My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household, a blessing that satisfies him and exceeds his satisfaction, and bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing that satisfies You and exceeds Your satisfaction with him, and bless him with a blessing with which You are not satisfied for him except by it, and You do not see anyone other than him worthy of it. My Lord, and bless Muhammad and his Household, a blessing that surpasses Your pleasure, and whose connection is joined to Your permanence, and does not run out just as Your words do not run out. My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing that incorporates the blessings of Your angels and Your prophets and Your messengers and the people of Your obedience, and includes the blessings of Your servants from Your jinn and Your humankind and the people who respond to You, and gathers the blessing of everyone You have created and originated from all the varieties of Your creation.
Rabbi salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammadin alMuntajab, alMustafa, alMukarram, alMuqarrab, afdala salawatik, wa barik alayhi atamma barakatik, wa tarahham alayhi amtaa rahamatik, Rabbi salli ala Muhammadin wa alih, salatan zakiyatan, la takunu salatun azka minha, wa salli alayhi salatan namiyatan, la takunu salatun anma minha, wa salli alayhi salatan radiyatan, la takunu salatun fawqaha, Rabbi salli ala Muhammadin wa alih, salatan turdihi wa tazidu ala ridah, wa salli ala Muhammadin wa alih salatan turdika wa tazidu ala ridaka lah, wa salli alayhi salatan la tarda lahu illa biha, wa la tara ghayrahu laha ahla, Rabbi wa salli ala Muhammadin wa alih, salatan tujawizu ridwanak, wa yattasilu ittisaluha bibaqaik, wa la yanfadu kama la yanfadu kalimatuk, Rabbi salli ala Muhammadin wa alih salatan tantazimu salawati malaikatik wa anbiyaik wa rusulik wa ahli taatik, wa tashtamilu ala salawati ibadik min jinnik wa insik wa ahli ijabatik, wa tajtamiu ala salati kulli man dharaata wa baraata min asnafi khalqik.
رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُنْتَجَبِ، الْمُصْطَفَى، الْمُكَرَّمِ، الْمُقَرَّبِ، أَفْضَلَ صَلَوَاتِكَ، وَبارِكْ عَلَيْهِ أَتَمَّ بَرَكاتِكَ، وَتَرَحَّمْ عَلَيْهِ أَمْتَعَ رَحَمَاتِكَ، رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ، صَلاَةً زَاكِيَةً، لاَ تَكُونُ صَلاَةٌ أَزْكَى مِنْهَا، وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةً نَامِيَةً، لاَ تَكُونُ صَلاةٌ أَنْمَى مِنْهَا، وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاةً رَاضِيَةً، لاَ تَكُونُ صَلاةٌ فَوْقَهَا، رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ، صَلاَةً تُرْضِيهِ وَتَزِيدُ عَلَى رِضَاهُ، وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ صَلاَةً تُرْضِيكَ وَتَزِيدُ عَلَى رِضَاكَ لَهُ، وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةً لاَ تَرْضَى لَهُ إلاَّ بِهَا، وَلاَ تَرى غَيْرَهُ لَهَا أَهْلاً، رَبِّ وصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ، صَلاَةً تُجَاوِزُ رِضْوَانَكَ، وَيَتَّصِلُ اتِّصَالُهَا بِبَقَائِكَ، وَلاَ يَنْفَدُ كَمَا لاَ يَنْفَدُ كَلِماتُكَ، رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ صَلاَةً تَنْتَظِمُ صَلَوَاتِ مَلائِكَتِكَ وَأَنْبِيائِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ وَأَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ، وَتَشْتَمِلُ عَلَى صَلَوَاتِ عِبَادِكَ مِنْ جِنّكَ وَإنْسِكَ وَأَهْلِ إجَابَتِكَ، وَتَجْتَمِعُ عَلَى صَلاَةِ كُلِّ مَنْ ذَرَأْتَ وَبَرَأْتَ مِنْ أَصْنَافِ خَلْقِكَ.
My Lord, bless him and his Household with a blessing that encompasses every past and renewed blessing, and bless him and his Household with a blessing that is pleasing to You and to those beneath You, and which creates, along with that, blessings that You multiply those blessings with, near it, and You increase them upon the repetition of days, an increase in multiples that none but You can count or enumerate. My Lord, bless the pure ones of his Household whom You chose for Your command, and made them the treasurers of Your knowledge, the protectors of Your religion, and Your vicegerents on Your earth, and Your proofs over Your servants, and purified them from abomination and filth, a purification by Your will, and made them the means to You and the path to Your Paradise.
Rabbi salli alayhi wa alihi salatan tuhitu bikulli salatin salifah wa mustanafah, wa salli alayhi wa ala alihi salatan mardiyyatan laka wa liman dunak, wa tunshiu maa dhalika salawatin tudaifu mahaa tilka as salawat indaha, wa taziduha ala kururi al ayyami ziyadatan fi tadaifin la yuhsiha wa la yaudduha ghayruk. Rabbi salli ala ataaibi ahli baytih alladhina ikhtartahum li amrik, wa jaaltahum khazanata ilmik, wa hafazata deenik, wa khulafaaaka fi ardik, wa hujajaka ala ibadik, wa tahhartahum min ar rijsi wa ad danasi tathiran bi iradatik, wa jaaltahum al wasilata ilayk wa al maslaka ila jannatik.
رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ صَلاَةً تُحِيطُ بِكُلِّ صَلاَة سَالِفَة وَمُسْتَأْنَفَة، وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهِ صَلاَةً مَرْضِيَّةً لَكَ وَلِمَنْ دُونَكَ، وَتُنْشِئُ مَعَ ذَلِكَ صَلَوَات تُضَاعِفُ مَعَهَا تِلْكَ الصَّلَوَاتِ عِنْدَهَا، وَتَزِيدُهَا عَلَى كُرُورِ الأَيَّامِ زِيَادَةً فِي تَضَاعِيفَ لاَ يُحصِيهْا ولاَ يَعُدُّهَا غَيْرُكَ. رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى أَطَائِبِ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الَّذِينَ اخْتَرْتَهُمْ لأَمْرِكَ، وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ خَزَنَةَ عِلْمِكَ، وَحَفَظَةَ دِيْنِكَ، وَخُلَفَاءَكَ فِي أَرْضِكَ، وَحُجَجَكَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ، وَطَهَّرْتَهُمْ مِنَ الرِّجْسِ وَالدَّنَسِ تَطْهِيراً بِإرَادَتِكَ، وَجَعَلْتَهُمْ الْوَسِيْلَةَ إلَيْكَ وَالْمَسْلَكَ إلَى جَنَّتِكَ.
My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing by which You make great for them from Your gifts and Your generosity, and through which You complete for them the most exalted of Your bestowals and Your supererogatory gifts, and You make plentiful for them the portion from Your customary gifts and Your benefits. My Lord, bless him and them with a blessing whose beginning has no term, and whose term has no limit, and whose end has no termination. My Lord, bless them the weight of Your Throne and what is beneath it, and the fullness of Your heavens and what is above them, and the number of Your earths, and what is beneath them, and what is between them, a blessing that brings them near to You with proximity and is a pleasure for You and for them, and is connected to their likes forever.
Rabbi salli ala Muhammadin wa alihi salatan tujzilu lahum biha min nihalik wa karamatik, wa tukmilu biha lahumul asna min atayak wa nawafilik, wa tuwaffiru alayhimul hazz min awaidik wa fawaidik, Rabbi salli alayhi wa alayhim salatan la amada fi awwaliha, wa la ghayata li-amadiha, wa la nihayata li-akhiriha, Rabbi salli alayhim zinnata arshik wa ma dunah, wa mila samawatik wa ma fawqahunna, wa adada aradik, wa ma tahtahunna, wa ma baynahunna, salatan tuqarribuhum minka zulfa wa takunu laka wa lahum ridan, wa muttasilatun binazairihinna abadan.
رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ صَلاةً تُجْزِلُ لَهُمْ بِهَا مِنْ نِحَلِكَ وَكَرَامَتِكَ، وَتُكْمِلُ بِهْا لَهُمُ الأَسْنى مِنْ عَطَاياكَ وَنَوَافِلِكَ، وَتُوَفِّرُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْحَظَّ مِنْ عَوَائِدِكَ وَفَوائِدِكَ، رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ صَلاَةً لاَ أَمَدَ فِي أَوَّلِهَا، وَلاَ غَايَةَ لأَِمَدِهَا، وَلاَ نِهَايَةَ لآخِرِهَا، رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ زِنَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَمَا دُونَهُ، وَمِلءَ سَموَاتِكَ وَمَا فَوْقَهُنَّ، وَعَدَدَ أَرَضِيْكَ، وَمَا تَحْتَهُنَّ، وَمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ، صَلاَةً تُقَرِّبُهُمْ مِنْكَ زُلْفى وَتَكُونُ لَكَ وَلَهُمْ رِضَىً، وَمُتَّصِلَةٌ بِنَظَائِرِهِنَّ أَبَداً.
O God, surely You have supported Your religion in every age with an Imam whom You set up as a standard for Your servants and a lighthouse in Your lands, after You connected his rope to Your rope, and made him the means to Your pleasure, and made his obedience obligatory, and warned against disobeying him, and commanded the compliance with his command and the stopping at his prohibition, and that no one should precede him, and no one should lag behind him, so he is the protection of those who seek refuge, and the shelter of the believers, and the firm handle of those who hold fast, and the splendor of the worlds.
Allahumma innaka ayyadta deenaka fee kulli awanin bi-imamin aqamtahu alaman li-ibadika wa manaran fee biladika, ba'da an wasalta hablahu bihablik, wa ja'altahu ath-thari'ata ila ridwanik, waftaradta taatahu, wa hadhdhartah ma'siyatahu, wa amarta bi-imtithali amrihi wal-intiha'i inda nahyih, wa alla yataqaddamahu mutaqaddimun, wala yataakhkhara anhu mutaakhkhirun, fahuwa ismatu al-la'ithina, wa kahfu al-mu'minina, wa urwatu al-mutamassikina, wa baha'u al-alamina.
أللَّهُمَّ إنَّكَ أَيَّدْتَ دِينَكَ فِي كُلِّ أَوَانٍ بِإمَام أَقَمْتَهُ عَلَماً لِعِبَادِكَ ومَنارَاً فِي بِلاَدِكَ، بَعْدَ أَنْ وَصَلْتَ حَبْلَهُ بِحَبْلِكَ، وَجَعَلْتَهُ الذَّرِيعَةَ إلَى رِضْوَانِكَ، وَافْتَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُ، وَحَذَّرْتَ مَعْصِيَتَهُ، وَأَمَرْتَ بِامْتِثَالِ أَمْرِهِ وَالانْتِهَاءِ عِنْدَ نَهْيِهِ، وَأَلاَّ يَتَقَدَّمَهُ مُتَقَدِّمٌ، وَلاَ يَتَأَخَّرَ عَنْهُ مُتَأَخِّرٌ، فَهُوَ عِصْمَةُ اللاَّئِذِينَ، وَكَهْفُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَعُرْوَةُ الْمُتَمَسِّكِينَ، وَبَهَاءُ الْعَالَمِينَ.
O God, inspire Your vicegerent to thank You for what You have bestowed upon him, and inspire us with the like of it in respect to him, and grant him from Your Presence an aiding authority, and open for him an easy opening, and assist him with Your most mighty pillar, and strengthen his back, and fortify his arm, and guard him with Your eye, and protect him with Your preservation, and help him with Your angels, and extend him with Your most dominant army, and establish through him Your Book and Your limits, and Your laws and the traditions of Your Messenger—Your blessings, O God, be upon him and his Household.
Allahumma fa-awzi' li-waliyyika shukra ma an'amta bihi alayh, wa awzi'na mithlahu fih, wa atihi min ladunka sultanan nasira, waftah lahu fat han yasira, wa a'inhu bi-ruknik al-a'azz, wa shdud azrah, wa qawwi adudah, wa ra'ihi bi-aynik, wahmihi bi-hifzik, wansurhu bi-mala'ikatik, wa madduhu bi-jundik al-aghlab, wa aqim bihi kitabaka wa hududak, wa sharai'aka wa sunana rasulika salawatuka Allahumma alayhi wa alih.
أللَّهُمَّ فَأَوْزِعْ لِوَلِيِّكَ شُكْرَ مَا أَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَوْزِعْنَا مِثْلَهُ فِيهِ، وَآتِهِ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَاناً نَصِيراً، وَافْتَحْ لَهُ فَتْحاً يَسِيراً، وَأَعِنْهُ بِرُكْنِكَ الأعَزِّ، وَاشْدُدْ أَزْرَهُ، وَقَوِّ عَضُدَهُ، وَرَاعِهِ بِعَيْنِكَ، وَاحْمِهِ بِحِفْظِكَ، وَانْصُرْهُ بِمَلائِكَتِكَ، وَامْدُدْهُ بِجُنْدِكَ الأَغْلَبِ، وَأَقِمْ بِهِ كِتَابَكَ وَحُدُودَكَ، وَشَرَائِعَكَ وَسُنَنَ رَسُولِكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ.
And revive through him what the wrongdoers have deadened of the landmarks of Your religion, and remove through him the rust of injustice from Your path, and clear through him the affliction from Your way, and eliminate through him those who deviate from Your Straight Path, and annihilate through him those who seek to distort Your purpose into deviation, and soften his side toward Your friends, and stretch forth his hand against Your enemies, and grant us his compassion, his mercy, his kindness, and his tenderness, and make us for him listening and obedient, and striving for his satisfaction, and aiding in his support and the defense of him, and through this, make us draw nearer to You and to Your Messenger—Your blessings, O God, be upon him and his Household.
Wa ahyi bihi ma amatahu az-zalimuna min ma'alimi deenik, wajlu bihi sadaa al-jawri an tareeqatik, wa abin bihi addarraa min sabeelik, wa azil bihi an-nakibina an siratik, wamhaq bihi bughata qasdik iwajan, wa alin janibahu li-awliyaik, wabsut yadahu ala a'daik, wa hab lana rafatahu wa rahmatahu wa ta'attufahu wa tahannunahu, waj'alna lahu sami'ina muti'ina, wa fi ridahu sa'ina, wa ila nusratihi wal-mudafa'ati anhu muknifina, wa ilayka wa ila rasulika salawatuka Allahumma alayhi wa alihi bi-dhalika mutaqarribina.
وَأَحْيِ بِهِ مَا أَمَاتَهُ الظَّالِمُونَ مِنْ مَعَالِمِ دِينِكَ، وَاجْلُ بِهِ صَدَأَ الْجَوْرِ عَنْ طَرِيقَتِكَ، وَأَبِنْ بِهِ الضَّرَّاءَ مِنْ سَبِيلِكَ، وَأَزِلْ بِهِ النَّاكِبِينَ عَنْ صِرَاطِكَ، وَامْحَقْ بِهِ بُغَاةَ قَصْدِكَ عِوَجاً، وَأَلِنْ جَانِبَهُ لأَِوْلِيَائِكَ، وَابْسُطْ يَدَهُ عَلَى أَعْدَائِكَ، وَهَبْ لَنا رَأْفَتَهُ وَرَحْمَتَهُ وَتَعَطُّفَهُ وَتَحَنُّنَهُ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لَهُ سَامِعِينَ مُطِيعِينَ، وَفِي رِضَاهُ سَاعِينَ، وَإلَى نُصْرَتِهِ وَالْمُدَافَعَةِ عَنْهُ مُكْنِفِينَ، وَإلَيْكَ وَإلَى رَسُولِكَ صَلَواتُكَ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ بِذَلِكَ مُتَقَرِّبِينَ.
O God, bless their friends who acknowledge their position, follow their method, pursue their footsteps, hold fast to their handle, cling to their guardianship, take their Imamate as their guide, submit to their command, strive in their obedience, await their days, stretch forth their eyes towards them—with blessings, blessed, pure, increasing, going forth in the morning, and returning in the evening. And grant peace upon them and upon their souls, and gather their command upon God-consciousness, and mend their affairs for them, and turn to them in forgiveness—surely You are the Accepter of Repentance, the Merciful, and the best of the forgivers—and make us with them in the Abode of Peace by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
Allahumma wa salli ala awliya'ihim al-mu'tarifina bi-maqamihim, al-muttabi'ina manhajahum, al-muqtafina atharahum, al-mustamsikina bi-urwatihim, al-mutamassikina bi-wilayatihim, al-mu'tammina bi-imamatihim, al-musallimina li-amrihim, al-mujtahidina fi ta'atihim, al-muntazirina ayyamahum, al-maddina ilayhim a'yunahum, as-salawati al-mubarakati, az-zakiyati, an-namiyati, al-ghadiyati, ar-ra'ihati, wa sallim alayhim wa ala arwahihim, wajma' ala at-taqwa amrahum, wa aslih lahum shu'unahum, wa tub alayhim innaka Anta at-Tawwabu ar-Rahimu wa khayru al-ghafirina, waj'alna ma'ahum fi dari as-salami bi-rahmatika ya Arhama ar-rahimina.
أللَّهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَى أَوْلِيائِهِمُ الْمُعْتَرِفِينَ بِمَقَامِهِمْ، الْمُتَّبِعِينَ مَنْهَجَهُمْ، الْمُقْتَفِيْنَ آثَارَهُمْ، الْمُسْتَمْسِكِينَ بِعُرْوَتِهِمْ، الْمُتَمَسِّكِينَ بِوَلاَيَتِهِمْ، الْمُؤْتَمِّينَ بِإمَامَتِهِمْ، الْمُسَلِّمِينَ لأَِمْرِهِمْ، الْمُجْتَهِدِيْنَ فِي طاعَتِهِمْ، الْمُنْتَظِرِيْنَ أَيَّامَهُمْ، الْمَادِّينَ إلَيْهِمْ أَعْيُنَهُمْ، الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمُبَارَكَاتِ، الزَّاكِيَاتِ، النَّامِيَاتِ، الغَادِيَاتِ، الرَّائِحاتِ، وَسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَى أَرْوَاحِهِمْ، وَاجْمَعْ عَلَى التَّقْوَى أَمْرَهُمْ، وَأَصْلِحْ لَهُمْ شُؤُونَهُمْ، وَتُبْ عَلَيْهِمْ إنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ وَخَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ، وَاجْعَلْنَا مَعَهُمْ فِي دَارِ السَّلاَمِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
O God, this is the Day of ‘Arafah, a day You have honored, ennobled, and magnified, in which You have spread Your mercy, and conferred therein Your pardon and made great therein Your gift, and favored with it Your servants. O God, I am Your servant whom You blessed before Your creation of him, and after Your creation of him, and You made him among those whom You guided to Your religion, and directed him to Your truth, and protected him with Your rope, and admitted him into Your party, and guided him to the loyalty to Your friends, and the enmity toward Your enemies, then You commanded him, but he did not comply, and You restrained him, but he was not restrained, and You forbade him from disobeying You, but he contravened Your command for Your prohibition, not out of defiance to You nor arrogance toward You, rather, his caprice called him to what You had estranged [from him], and to what You had warned him against, and Your enemy and his enemy helped him in that, so he ventured upon it, knowing Your threat, hoping for Your pardon, trusting in Your forbearance, and he was the most worthy of Your servants—despite what You bestowed upon him—not to do so.
Allahumma hadha yawmu 'Arafah, yawmun sharraftahu wa-karramtahu wa-'azzamtahu, nasharta fihi rahmatak, wa-mananta fihi bi-'afwik wa-ajzalta fihi 'atiyyatak, wa-tafaddalta bihi 'ala 'ibadik, Allahumma wa-ana 'abduka alladhi an'amta 'alayhi qabla khalqika lahu, wa-ba'da khalqika iyyah, fa-ja'altahu mimman hadaytahu li-deenik, wa-waffaqtahu li-haqqik, wa-'asamtahu bi-hablik, wa-adkhaltahu fi hizbik, wa-arshadtahu li-muwalati awliya'ik, wa-mu'adati a'da'ik, thumma amartahu fa-lam ya'tamir, wa-zajartahu fa-lam yanzajir, wa-nahaytahu 'an ma'siyatik fa-khalafa amrak ila nahyik, la mu'anadatan lak wa-la istikbaran 'alayk, bal da'ahu hawahu ila ma zayyaltahu, wa-ila ma hadhdhartahu, wa-a'anahu 'ala dhalika 'aduwwuk wa-'aduwwuh, fa-aqdama 'alayhi 'arifan bi-wa'idika, rajiyan li-'afwik, wathiqan bi-tajawuzik, wa-kana ahaqqa 'ibadik ma'a ma mananta 'alayhi alla yaf'al.
أللَّهُمَّ هَذَا يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ، يَوْمٌ شَرَّفْتَهُ وَكَرَّمْتَهُ وَعَظَّمْتَهُ، نَشَرْتَ فِيهِ رَحْمَتَكَ، وَمَنَنْتَ فِيهِ بِعَفْوِكَ وَأَجْزَلْتَ فِيهِ عَطِيَّتَكَ، وَتَفَضَّلْتَ بِهِ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ، أللَّهُمَّ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ الَّذِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَبْلَ خَلْقِكَ لَهُ، وَبَعْدَ خَلْقِكَ إيَّاهُ، فَجَعَلْتَهُ مِمَّنْ هَدَيْتَهُ لِدِينِكَ، وَوَفَّقْتَهُ لِحَقِّكَ، وَعَصَمْتَهُ بِحَبْلِكَ، وَأَدْخَلْتَهُ فِيْ حِزْبِكَ، وَأَرْشَدْتَهُ لِمُوَالاَةِ أَوْليائِكَ، وَمُعَادَاةِ أَعْدَائِكَ، ثُمَّ أَمَرْتَهُ فَلَمْ يَأْتَمِرْ، وَزَجَرْتَهُ فَلَمْ يَنْزَجِرْ، وَنَهَيْتَهُ عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ فَخَالَفَ أَمْرَكَ إلَى نَهْيِكَ، لاَ مُعَانَدَةً لَكَ وَلاَ اسْتِكْبَاراً عَلَيْكَ، بَلْ دَعَاهُ هَوَاهُ إلَى مَا زَيَّلْتَهُ، وَإلَى مَا حَذَّرْتَهُ، وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَى ذلِكَ عَدُوُّكَ وَعَدُوُّهُ، فَأَقْدَمَ عَلَيْهِ عَارِفاً بِوَعِيْدِكَ، رَاجِياً لِعَفْوِكَ، وَاثِقاً بِتَجَاوُزِكَ، وَكَانَ أَحَقَّ عِبَادِكَ مَعَ مَا مَنَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَلاَّ يَفْعَلَ.
And here I am before You, humbled, abased, submissive, reverent, afraid, confessing a great one of the sins I have borne, and a serious one of the offenses I have committed, seeking refuge in Your overlooking, taking shelter in Your mercy, certain that no protector can protect me from You, and no preventer can prevent me from You. So return to me with what You return to one who has committed offenses, from Your covering [of sins], and be generous toward me with what You are generous toward one who casts his hand to You, from Your pardon, and favor me with what is not too great for You to bestow upon one who has hoped in You, from Your forgiveness.
Wa ha ana dha bayna yadayka saghiran, dhalilan, khadi'an, khashi'an, khā'ifan, mu'tarifan bi-'azimin min adh-dhunubi tahammaltuh, wa jalīlin min al-khataya ijtaramtuh, mustajiran bi-safhik, la'idhan bi-rahmatik, muqinan annahu la yujiruni minka mujirun, wa la yamna'uni minka mani'. Fa-'ud 'alayya bi-ma ta'udu bihi 'ala mani iqtaraf min taghammudik, wa jud 'alayya bi-ma tajudu bihi 'ala man alqa bi-yadihi ilayk min 'afwik, wa mnun 'alayya bi-ma la yata'azamuk an tamunna bihi 'ala man ammalak min ghufranik.
وَهَا أَنَا ذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ صَاغِراً، ذَلِيلاً، خَاضِعَاً، خَاشِعاً، خَائِفَاً، مُعْتَرِفاً بِعَظِيمٍ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ تَحَمَّلْتُهُ، وَجَلِيْلٍ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا اجْتَرَمْتُهُ، مُسْتَجِيراً بِصَفْحِكَ، لائِذَاً بِرَحْمَتِكَ، مُوقِناً أَنَّهُ لاَ يُجِيرُنِي مِنْكَ مُجِيرٌ، وَلاَ يَمْنَعُنِي مِنْكَ مَانِعٌ، فَعُدْ عَلَيَّ بِمَا تَعُودُ بِهِ عَلَى مَنِ اقْتَرَفَ مِنْ تَغَمُّدِكَ، وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ بِمَا تَجُودُ بِهِ عَلَى مَنْ أَلْقَى بِيَدِهِ إلَيْكَ مِنْ عَفْوِكَ، وَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِمَا لاَ يَتَعَاظَمُكَ أَنْ تَمُنَّ بِهِ عَلَى مَنْ أَمَّلَكَ مِنْ غُفْرَانِكَ.
And appoint for me in this day a portion by which I attain a share of Your pleasure, and do not turn me away empty from what Your worshipping servants return with. For indeed, though I have not presented what they have presented of good deeds, I have presented Your Oneness, and the denial of contraries, equals, and likenesses for You, and I came to You from the doors You commanded to be approached, and I sought nearness to You with that by which no one draws nearer to You except by seeking nearness with it. Then I followed that with turning back to You, and humility and submissiveness to You, and good opinion of You, and trust in what is with You, and I interceded for it with Your hope which seldom disappoints one who hopes in You. And I asked You the request of the despised, abased, wretched, poor, fearful, seeker of refuge, and in addition to that, with fear, supplication, seeking protection, and taking shelter—not being presumptuous with the pride of the arrogant, nor high with the presumption of the obedient, nor emboldened by the intercession of the intercessors—and I am, still, the least of the least, and the most abased of the abased, and like a speck, or less than it.
Waj'al li fi hadha al-yawmi nasiban analu bihi haththan min ridwanik, wala taruddani sifran mimma yanqalibu bihi al-muta'abbiduna lak min 'ibadik, fa-inni wa-in lam uqaddim ma qaddamuhu min as-salihat, faqad qaddamtu tawhidak, wa nafya al-addad wa-al-andad wa-al-ashbah 'ank, wa ataytuka min al-abwab allati amarta an tu'ta minha, wa taqarrabtu ilayk bi-ma la yaqrubu bihi ahadun minka illa bi-taqarrubi bih, thumma atba'tu dhalika bi-al-inabati ilayk, wa at-tadhallul wa al-istikanati lak, wa husni az-zanni bik, wa ath-thiqati bi-ma 'indak, wa shaffa'tuhu bi-raja'ik alladhi qalla ma yakhibu 'alayhi rajik, wa sa'altuka mas'alata al-haqiri adh-dhalili al-baisi al-faqiri al-kha'ifi al-mustajir, wa ma'a dhalika khifatan wa tadarru'an wa ta'awwudhan wa talawwudhan, la mustatilan bi-takabburi al-mutakabbirin, wa la muta'aliyan bi-dallati al-muti'in, wa la mustatilan bi-shafa'ati ash-shafi'in, wa ana ba'du aqallu al-aqallin, wa adhallu al-adhallin, wa mithlu adh-dharrati aw dunaha.
وَاجْعَلْ لِي فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ نَصِيباً أَنَالُ بِهِ حَظّاً مِنْ رِضْوَانِكَ، وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي صِفْراً مِمَّا يَنْقَلِبُ بِهِ الْمُتَعَبِّدُونَ لَكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ، فَإنِّي وَإنْ لَمْ أُقَدِّمْ مَا قَدَّمُوهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ، فَقَد قَدَّمْتُ تَوْحِيدَكَ، وَنَفْيَ الأَضْدَادِ وَالأَنْدَادِ وَالأشْبَاهِ عَنْكَ، وَأَتَيْتُكَ مِنَ الأَبْوَابِ الَّتِي أَمَرْتَ أَنْ تُؤْتى مِنْها، وَتَقَرَّبْتُ إلَيْكَ بِمَا لاَ يَقْرُبُ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْكَ إلاَّ بِالتَّقَرُّبِ بِهِ، ثُمَّ أَتْبَعْتُ ذلِكَ بِالإِنابَةِ إلَيْكَ، وَالتَّذَلُّلِ وَالاسْتِكَانَةِ لَكَ، وَحُسْنِ الظَّنِّ بِكَ، وَالثِّقَةِ بِمَا عِنْدَكَ، وَشَفَعْتُهُ بِرَجائِكَ الَّذِي قَلَّ مَا يَخِيبُ عَلَيْهِ رَاجِيْكَ، وَسَأَلْتُكَ مَسْأَلَةَ الْحَقِيرِ الذّلِيلِ الْبَائِسِ الْفَقِيْرِ الْخَائِفِ الْمُسْتَجِيرِ، وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ خِيفَةً وَتَضَرُّعاً وَتَعَوُّذاً وَتَلَوُّذاً، لاَ مُسْتَطِيلاً بِتَكبُّرِ الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ، وَلاَ مُتَعَالِياً بِدالَّةِ الْمُطِيعِينَ، وَلاَ مُسْتَطِيلاً بِشَفَاعَةِ الشَّافِعِينَ، وَأَنَا بَعْدُ أَقَلُّ الأَقَلِّيْنَ، وَأَذَلُّ الأَذَلِّينَ، وَمِثْلُ الذَّرَّةِ أَوْ دُونَهَا.
O You who does not hasten against the evil-doers, and does not deal deceptively with the opulent, and O You who favors by pardoning the stumblers, and bestows by granting respite to the sinners. I am the evil-doer, the confessor, the sinner, the offender, the confessing stumbler. I am the one who came forward to You, emboldened. I am the one who disobeyed You intentionally. I am the one who felt shame before Your servants yet confronted You openly. I am the one who was afraid of Your servants and felt secure from You. I am the one who did not fear Your might and did not dread Your punishment. I am the one who wronged himself, I am the one pledged to his own tribulation. I am the one with little shame, I am the one with long suffering. By the right of those You chose from Your creation, and by the one You selected for Your Self. By the right of those You chose from Your creatures, and the one You selected for Your affair. By the right of the one whose obedience You joined to Your obedience, and the one whose disobedience You made like Your disobedience. By the right of the one whose loyalty You coupled with Your loyalty, and the one whose enmity You tied to Your enmity. Cover me in this day of mine with what You cover one who sought refuge with You, seeking to shed [his sins], and sought shelter in Your forgiveness, repenting. And take charge of me with what You take charge of the people of Your obedience, and the proximity with You, and the high rank from You. And make me singular with what You make singular one who fulfilled his covenant with You, and exhausted himself for Your essence, and exerted it in seeking Your pleasure. And do not take me to task for my negligence towards You, and my overstepping my bounds in Your limits, and my transgression of Your judgments. And do not lead me astray by granting me respite, the way You lead astray one who withheld the best of what he had from me, and did not associate You in the descent of his blessing upon me.
Fa ya man lam yu'ajili al-musi'in, wa lam yughamida al-mutrafin, wa ya man yamunnu bi-iqalati al-athirin, wa yatafaddalu bi-inthari al-khati'in, ana al-musi'u al-mu'tarifu al-khati'u al-mudhnibu, al-mu'tarifu al-athiru, ana alladhi aqdama 'alayka mujtari'an, ana alladhi 'asaka muta'ammidan, ana alladhi istahya min 'ibadika wa barazak, ana alladhi haba 'ibadaka wa aminak, ana alladhi lam yarhab satwatak, wa lam yakhaf ba'sak, ana al-jani 'ala nafsihi, ana al-murtahanu bi-baliyyatihi, ana al-qalilu al-haya'i, ana at-tawilu al-ana'i, bi-haqqi mani ntajabta min khalqik, wa bi-mani istafaytahu li-nafsik, bi-haqqi mani khtarta min barriyyatik, wa mani jtabayta li-sha'nik, bi-haqqi man wasalta ta'atahu bi-ta'atik, wa man ja'alta ma'siyatahu ka-ma'siyatik, bi-haqqi man qaranta muwalatahu bi-muwalatika, wa man nutta mu'adatahu bi-mu'adatik, taghammadni fi yawmiya hadha bi-ma tataghammadu bihi man jara ilayka mutanassilan, wa 'adha bi-stighfarika ta'iban, wa tawallani bi-ma tatawalla bihi ahla ta'atik, wa ath-thulfa ladayk, wa al-makanati mink, wa tawahhadni bi-ma tatawahhadu bihi man wafa bi-'ahdik, wa at'aba nafsahu fi thatik, wa ajhadaha fi mardatik, wa la tu'akhidhni bi-tafriti fi janbik, wa ta'addi tawri fi hududik, wa mujawazati ahkamik, wa la tastadrijni bi-imla'ika li istidraja man mana'ani khayra ma 'indahu, wa lam yushrikka fi hululi ni'matihi bi.
فَيَا مَنْ لَمْ يَعَاجِلِ الْمُسِيئِينَ، وَلمْ يُغَامِضَ الْمُتْرَفِينَ، وَيَا مَنْ يَمُنُّ بِإقَالَةِ الْعَاثِرِينَ، وَيَتَفَضَّلُ بإنْظَارِ الْخَاطِئِينَ، أَنَا الْمُسِيءُ الْمُعْتَرِفُ الْخَاطِئ المُذنِبُ، الْمُعْتَرِفُ الْعَاثِرُ، أَنَا الَّذِيْ أَقْدَمَ عَلَيْكَ مُجْتَرِئاً، أَنَا الَّذِي عَصَاكَ مُتَعَمِّداً، أَنَا الَّذِي اسْتَحْيا مِنْ عِبَادِكَ وَبَارَزَكَ، أَنَا الَّذِي هَابَ عِبَادَكَ وَأَمِنَكَ، أَنَا الَّذِي لَمْ يَرْهَبْ سَطْوَتَكَ، وَلَمْ يَخَفْ بَأْسَكَ، أَنَا الْجَانِي عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، أَنَا الْمُرْتَهَنُ بِبَلِيَّتِهِ، أَنَا الْقَلِيلُ الْحَيَاءِ، أَنَا الطَّوِيلُ الْعَناءِ، بِحَقِّ مَنِ انْتَجَبْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، وَبِمَنِ اصْطَفَيْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ، بِحَقِّ مَنِ اخْتَرْتَ مِنْ بَريَّتِكَ، وَمَنِ اجْتَبَيْتَ لِشَأْنِكَ، بِحَقِّ مَنْ وَصَلْتَ طَاعَتَهُ بِطَاعَتِكَ، وَمَنْ جَعَلْتَ مَعْصِيَتَهُ كَمَعْصِيَتِكَ، بِحَقِّ مَنْ قَرَنْتَ مُوَالاَتَهُ بِمُوالاتِكَ، وَمَنْ نُطْتَ مُعَادَاتَهُ بِمُعَادَاتِكَ، تَغَمَّدْنِي فِي يَوْمِيَ هَذَا بِمَا تَتَغَمَّدُ بِهِ مَنْ جَارَ إلَيْكَ مُتَنَصِّلاً، وَعَاذَ بِاسْتِغْفَارِكَ تَائِباً، وَتَوَلَّنِي بِمَا تَتَوَلَّى بِهِ أَهْلَ طَاعَتِكَ، وَالزُّلْفَى لَدَيْكَ، وَالْمَكَانَةِ مِنْكَ، وَتَوَحَّدْنِي بِمَا تَتَوَحَّدُ بِهِ مَنْ وَفى بِعَهْدِكَ، وَأَتْعَبَ نَفْسَهُ فِي ذَاتِكَ، وَأَجْهَدَهَا فِي مَرْضَاتِكَ، وَلاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِتَفْرِيطِي فِي جَنْبِكَ، وَتَعَدِّي طَوْرِيْ فِي حُدودِكَ، وَمُجَاوَزَةِ أَحْكَامِكَ، وَلاَ تَسْتَدْرِجْنِي بِإمْلائِكَ لِي اسْتِدْرَاجَ مَنْ مَنَعَنِي خَيْرَ مَا عِنْدَهُ، وَلَمْ يَشْرَكْكَ فِي حُلُولِ نِعْمَتِهِ بِي.
And awaken me from the slumber of the heedless, and the drowsiness of the extravagant, and the slumber of the forsaken. And take my heart to what You employed the devout to do, and by which You enslaved the worshippers, and by which You rescued the careless. And protect me from what distances me from You, and intervenes between me and my portion from You, and prevents me from what I seek near You. And make easy for me the path of good deeds to You, and the race toward them from where You commanded, and the intense pursuit of them according to what You willed.
Wa nabbihni min raqdati al-ghafilin, wa sinati al-musrifin, wa na'sati al-makhdhulin. Wa khudh bi-qalbi ila ma sta'malta bihi al-qanitin, wa sta'badta bihi al-muta'abbidin, wa stanqadhta bihi al-mutahawinin, wa a'idhni mimma yuba'iduni 'ank, wa yahulu bayni wa bayna haththi mink, wa yasudduni 'amma uhawilu ladayk. Wa sahhil li maslaka al-khayrati ilayk, wa al-musabaqati ilayha min haythu amart, wa al-mushahhata fiha 'ala ma aradt.
وَنَبِّهْنِي مِنْ رَقْدَةِ الْغَافِلِينَ، وَسِنَةِ الْمُسْرِفِينَ، وَنَعْسَةِ الْمَخْذُولِينَ. وَخُذْ بِقَلْبِي إلَى مَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ بِهِ القَانِتِيْنَ، وَاسْتَعْبَدْتَ بِهِ الْمُتَعَبِّدِينَ، وَاسْتَنْقَذْتَ بِهِ الْمُتَهَاوِنِينَ، وَأَعِذْنِي مِمَّا يُبَاعِدُنِي عَنْكَ، وَيَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ حَظِّي مِنْكَ، وَيَصُدُّنِي عَمَّا أُحَاوِلُ لَدَيْكَ، وَسَهِّلْ لِي مَسْلَكَ الْخَيْرَاتِ إلَيْكَ، وَالْمُسَابَقَةِ إلَيْهَا مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرْتَ، وَالْمُشَاحَّةَ فِيهَا عَلَى مَا أَرَدْتَ.
And do not annihilate me among those You annihilate of those who take lightly what You have promised, and do not destroy me with those You destroy of those who expose themselves to Your wrath, and do not destroy me among those You destroy of those who deviate from Your paths. And rescue me from the floods of temptation, and deliver me from the raging depths of tribulation, and grant me refuge from the grasp of [Your] respite, and intervene between me and an enemy who misguides me, and a caprice that destroys me, and a defect that afflicts me. And do not turn away from me the turning away of one with whom You are not pleased after Your anger, and do not make me despair of hope in You, lest despair of Your mercy overcome me, and do not test me with what I have no strength for, lest I be overburdened by what You lay upon me of the merit of Your love, and do not let me go from Your hand the way You let go of one in whom there is no good, and no need for him by You, and no returning for him, and do not cast me the casting of one who has fallen from the eye of Your care, and one whom disgrace from Your presence has encompassed, but take my hand from the fall of the waverers, and the terror of the oppressors, and the slip of the deceived, and the pit of the perished. And grant me well-being from what You have afflicted the classes of Your male and female servants with, and make me reach the levels of one whom You cared for, and blessed, and were pleased with, so You let him live praiseworthy, and caused him to die happy, and put around my neck the collar of refraining from what frustrates good deeds, and takes away blessings.
Wa la tamhaqni fiman tamhaqu min al-mustakhiffina bima wa'adt, wa la tuhlikni ma'a man tuhliku min al-muta'arridina li-maqtik, wa la tutabbirni fiman tutabbiru min al-munharifina 'an subulik. Wa najjini min ghamarati al-fitnati, wa khallisni min lahawati al-balwa, wa ajirni min akhdhi al-imla'i, wa hul bayni wa bayna 'aduwwin yudilluni, wa hawan yubiquni, wa manqasatin tarhaquni, wa la tu'rid 'anni i'rada man la tarda 'anhu ba'da ghadabik, wa la tu'yisni min al-amali fika, fa-yaghliba 'alayya al-qunutu min rahmatik, wa la tamtahinni bima la taqata li bihi, fa-tabhazani mimma tuhammilunihi min fadli mahabbatik, wa la tursilni min yadika irsala man la khayra fihi, wa la hajata bika ilayhi, wa la inabata lahu, wa la tarmi biya ramya man saqata min 'ayni ri'ayatika, wa mani shtamala 'alayhi al-khizyu min 'indik, bal khudh bi-yadi min saqtati al-mutaraddidina, wa wahlati al-muta'assifina, wa zallati al-maghrurina, wa wartati al-halikina, wa 'afini mimma ibtalyta bihi tabaqati 'abidika wa ima'ik, wa ballighni mabaligha man 'unita bihi, wa an'amta 'alayhi, wa radita 'anhu, fa-a'ashtahu hamidan, wa tawaffaytahu sa'idan, wa tawwiqni tawqa al-iqla'i 'amma yuhbitu al-hasanati, wa yadhhabu bi-al-barakat.
وَلاَ تَمْحَقْنِي فِيمَنْ تَمْحَقُ مِنَ الْمُسْتَخِفِّينَ بِمَا أَوْعَدْتَ، وَلاَ تُهْلِكْنِي مَعَ مَنْ تُهْلِكُ مِنَ الْمُتَعَرِّضِينَ لِمَقْتِكَ، وَلاَ تُتَبِّرْني فِيمَنْ تُتَبِّرُ مِنَ الْمُنْحَرِفِينَ عَنْ سُبُلِكَ. وَنَجِّنِيْ مِنْ غَمَرَاتِ الْفِتْنَةِ، وَخَلِّصْنِي مِنْ لَهَوَاتِ الْبَلْوى، وَأَجِرْنِي مِنْ أَخْذِ الإِمْلاءِ، وَحُلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَدُوٍّ يُضِلُّنِي، وَهَوًى يُوبِقُنِي، وَمَنْقَصَةٍ تَرْهَقُنِي، وَلاَ تُعْرِضْ عَنِّي إعْرَاضَ مَنْ لاَ تَرْضَى عَنْهُ بَعْدَ غَضَبِكَ، وَلاَ تُؤْيِسْنِي مِنَ الأمَلِ فِيكَ، فَيَغْلِبَ عَلَيَّ الْقُنُوطُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَلاَ تَمْتَحْنِِّي بِمَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِهِ، فَتَبْهَظَنِي مِمَّا تُحَمِّلُنِيهِ مِنْ فَضْلِ مَحَبَّتِكَ، وَلاَ تُرْسِلْنِي مِنْ يَدِكَ إرْسَالَ مَنْ لاَ خَيْرَ فِيهِ، وَلاَ حَاجَةَ بِكَ إلَيْهِ، وَلاَ إنابَةَ لَهُ، وَلاَ تَرْمِ بِيَ رَمْيَ مَنْ سَقَطَ مِنْ عَيْنِ رِعَايَتِكَ، وَمَنِ اشْتَمَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْخِزْيُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، بَلْ خُذْ بِيَدِيْ مِنْ سَقْطَةِ الْمُتَرَدِّدِينَ، وَوَهْلَةِ الْمُتَعَسِّفِيْنَ، وَزَلّةِ الْمَغْرُورِينَ، وَوَرْطَةِ الْهَالِكِينَ، وَعَافِنِي مِمَّا ابْتَلَيْتَ بِهِ طَبَقَاتِ عَبِيدِكَ وَإمائِكَ، وَبَلِّغْنِي مَبَالِغَ مَنْ عُنِيتَ بِهِ، وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ، وَرَضِيتَ عَنْهُ، فَأَعَشْتَهُ حَمِيداً، وَتَوَفَّيْتَهُ سَعِيداً، وَطَوِّقْنِي طَوْقَ الإِقْلاَعِ عَمَّا يُحْبِطُ الْحَسَنَاتِ، وَيَذْهَبُ بِالْبَرَكَاتِ.
And make my heart feel the repulsion from the ugly deeds of evil, and the glaring disgrace of grave sins, and do not distract me with what I cannot attain except by You, from what none other than it satisfies You with me. And remove from my heart the love of a despicable world that prohibits [one from] what is with You, and prevents [one] from seeking the means to You, and makes [one] forget drawing near to You. And adorn for me being alone in private supplication to You by night and by day, and grant me an infallibility that brings me near to Your fear, and severs me from committing Your unlawful acts, and releases me from the bondage of the grave [sins].
Wa ash'ir qalbiya al-izdijara 'an qabaihi as-sayyi'ati, wa fawadihi al-hawbati, wa la tashghalni bi-ma la udrikuhu illa bik 'amma la yurdika 'anni ghayruhu, wanza' min qalbi hubba dunya daniyyah tanha 'amma 'indak, wa tasuddu 'ani ibtigha'i al-wasilati ilayk, wa tudhhilu 'ani at-taqarrubi mink. Wa zayyin liya at-tafarruda bi-munajatika bi-al-layli wa an-nahari, wa hab li 'ismatan tudnini min khashyatika, wa taqta'uni 'an rukubi maharamika, wa tafukkun min asri al-'azaim.
وَأَشْعِرْ قَلْبِيَ الازْدِجَارَ عَنْ قَبَائِحِ السَّيِّئاتِ، وَفَوَاضِحِ الْحَوْبَاتِ، وَلاَ تَشْغَلْنِي بِمَا لاَ أُدْرِكُهُ إلاَّ بِكَ عَمَّا لا َ يُرْضِيْكَ عَنِّي غَيْرُهُ، وَانْزَعْ مِنْ قَلْبِي حُبَّ دُنْيَا دَنِيَّة تَنْهى عَمَّا عِنْدَكَ، وَتَصُدُّ عَنِ ابْتِغَاءِ الْوَسِيلَةِ إلَيْكَ، وَتُذْهِلُ عَنِ التَّقَرُبِ مِنْكَ. وَزَيِّنَ لِيَ التَّفَرُّدَ بِمُنَاجَاتِكَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، وَهَبْ لِي عِصْمَةً تُدْنِينِي مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ، وَتَقْطَعُنِي عَنْ رُكُوبِ مَحَارِمكَ، وَتَفُكُّنِي مِنْ أَسْرِ الْعَظَائِمِ.
And grant me purification from the filth of disobedience, and remove from me the dirt of offenses, and clothe me with the garment of Your well-being, and dress me with the cloak of Your health, and cover me with the full measure of Your blessings, and make manifest with me Your favor and Your bounty, and support me with Your granting of success and Your guidance, and help me with sound intention, pleasing speech, and commendable action. And do not entrust me to my own ability and strength apart from Your ability and Your strength, and do not disgrace me on the Day You raise me up for Your meeting, and do not expose me before Your friends, and do not make me forget Your remembrance, and do not take away my gratitude to You, but rather, make it incumbent upon me in states of inattention, when the ignorant are heedless of Your bounties, and inspire me to praise You for what You have bestowed upon me, and to confess what You have conferred upon me, and make my desire for You above the desire of the desirous, and my praise of You above the praise of the praisers.
Wa hab li at-tathira min danasi al-isyan, wa adhhib anni darana al-khataya, wa sarbilni bi-sirbali afiyatik, wa raddini rida'a muafatik, wa jallilni sawabigha na'ma'ik, wa thahir ladayya fadlaka wa tawlak, wa ayyidni bi-tawfiqika wa tasdidika, wa a'inni ala salihi an-niyyati wa mardiyyi al-qawli wa mustahsani al-amal, wa la takilni ila hawli wa quwwati duna hawlik wa quwwatik, wa la takhzini yawma tab'athuni li-liqa'ik, wa la tafdahni bayna yaday awliya'ik, wa la tunsini dhikrak, wa la tudhhib anni shukrak, bal alzimnihi fi ahwali as-sahwi inda ghafalati al-jahilina li-ala'ik, wa awzi'ni an uthniya bi-ma awlaytanih, wa a'tarif bi-ma asdaytahu ilayy, wa j'al raghbati ilayk fawqa raghbati ar-raghibin, wa hamdi iyyak fawqa hamdi al-hamidin.
وَهَبْ لِي التَّطْهِيرَ مِنْ دَنَسِ الْعِصْيَانِ، وَأَذْهِبْ عَنِّي دَرَنَ الْخَطَايَا، وَسَرْبِلْنِي بِسِرْبالِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَرَدِّنِي رِدَاءَ مُعَافاتِكَ، وَجَلِّلْنِي سَوابِغَ نَعْمَائِكَ، وَظَاهِرْ لَدَيَّ فَضْلَكَ وَطَوْلَكَ، وَأَيْدْنِي بِتَوْفِيقِكَ وَتَسْدِيْدِكَ، وَأَعِنِّي عَلَى صالِحِ النِّيَّةِ وَمَرْضِيِّ الْقَوْلِ وَمُسْتَحْسَنِ الْعَمَلِ، وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إلَى حَوْلِي وَقُوَّتِي دُونَ حَوْلِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ، وَلاَ تَخْزِنِي يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُنِي لِلِقائِكَ، وَلاَ تَفْضَحْنِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَوْلِياِئكَ، وَلاَ تُنْسِنِي ذِكْرَكَ، وَلاَ تُذْهِبْ عَنِّي شُكْرَكَ، بَلْ أَلْزِمْنِيهِ فِي أَحْوَالِ السَّهْوِ عِنْدَ غَفَلاَتِ الْجَاهِلِينَ لآِلائِكَ، وَأَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أُثْنِيَ بِمَا أَوْلَيْتَنِيهِ، وَأَعْتَرِفِ بِمَا أَسْدَيْتَهُ إلَيَّ، وَاجْعَلْ رَغْبَتِي إلَيْكَ فَوْقَ رَغْبَةِ الْرَّاغِبِينَ، وَحَمْدِي إيَّاكَ فَوْقَ حَمْدِ الْحَامِدِيْنَ.
And do not forsake me at the time of my destitution before You, and do not destroy me with what I have done to You, and do not confront me with what You confront the obstinate toward You, for I am submissive to You, I know that the argument is Yours, and that You are more worthy of favor, and more accustomed to good deeds, and the possessor of fear, and the possessor of forgiveness, and that You are more worthy of pardoning than You are of punishing, and that You are nearer to covering than You are to exposing. So cause me to live a good life that is arranged by what I desire, and reaches what I love, such that I do not commit what You dislike, and do not engage in what You forbade.
Wa la takhdhulni 'inda faqati ilayk, wa la tuhlikni bi-ma asdaytuhu ilayk, wa la tajbahni bi-ma jabahta bihi al-ma'anidina lak, fa-inni lak musallimun, a'lamu anna al-hujjata lak, wa annaka awla bi-al-fadl, wa a'wadu bi-al-ihsan, wa ahlu at-taqwa, wa ahlu al-maghfirah, wa annaka bi-an ta'fuwa awla minka bi-an tu'aqib, wa annaka bi-an tastura aqrabu minka ila an tashhar, fa-ahyini hayatan tayyibatan tantazimu bi-ma urid, wa tablughu ma uhibbu min haythu la ati ma takrah wa la artakibu ma nahayta 'anh.
وَلاَ تَخْذُلْنِي عِنْدَ فاقَتِي إلَيْكَ، وَلاَ تُهْلِكْنِي بِمَا أَسْدَيْتُهُ إلَيْكَ، وَلاَ تَجْبَهْنِي بِمَا جَبَهْتَ بِهِ الْمَعَانِدِينَ لَكَ، فَإنِّي لَكَ مُسَلِّمٌ، أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ الْحُجَّةَ لَكَ، وَأَنَّكَ أَوْلَى بِالْفَضْلِ، وَأَعْوَدُ بِالإحْسَانِ، وَأَهْلُ التَّقْوَى، وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ، وَأَنَّكَ بِأَنْ تَعْفُوَ أَوْلَى مِنْكَ بِأَنْ تُعَاقِبَ، وَأَنَّكَ بِأَنْ تَسْتُرَ أَقْرَبُ مِنْكَ إلَى أنْ تَشْهَرَ، فَأَحْيِنِي حَياةً طَيِّبَةً تَنْتَظِمُ بِما أُرِيدُ، وَتَبْلُغُ مَا أُحِبُّ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ آتِي مَا تَكْرَهُ وَلاَ أَرْتَكِبُ مَا نَهَيْتَ عَنْهُ.
And cause me to die the death of one whose light strives before him and on his right, and abase me before You, and honor me with Your creation, and abate me when I am alone with You, and raise me among Your servants, and make me needless of one who is needless of me, and increase me in destitution and poverty toward You, and protect me from the gloating of enemies, and from the descent of tribulation, and from humiliation and suffering. Cover me in what You have become aware of from me, with what the one capable of striking covers, were it not for his forbearance, and the one who seizes for the offense, were it not for his deliberation. And when You intend a trial or evil for a people, rescue me from it by taking shelter in You, and since You have not placed me in a situation of disgrace in Your world, do not place me in its like in Your Hereafter.
Wa amitni mitata man yas'a nuruhu bayna yadayhi, wa 'an yaminih, wa dhallilni bayna yadayk, wa a'izzani 'inda khalqik, wa da'ni idha khalaftu bik, wa arfa'ni bayna 'ibadik, wa aghnini 'amman huwa ghaniyyun 'anni, wa zidni ilayk faqatan wa faqran, wa a'idhni min shamatati al-a'da', wa min hululi al-bala', wa min adh-dhulli wa al-'ana', taghammadni fimma ittala'ta 'alayhi minni bi-ma yataghammadu bihi al-qadiru 'ala al-batshi lawla hilmuh, wa al-akhidhu 'ala al-jarirati lawla anatuh, wa idha aradta bi-qawmin fitnatan aw su'an fa-najjini minha liwadhan bik, wa idh lam tuqimni maqama fadihah fi dunyak fa-la tuqimni mithlahu fi akhiratik.
وَأَمِتْنِي مِيْتَةَ مَنْ يَسْعَى نُورُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، وَعَنْ يِمِيِنهِ، وَذَلِّلْنِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ، وَأَعِزَّنِيْ عِنْدَ خَلْقِكَ، وَضَعْنِي إذَا خَلَوْتُ بِكَ، وَارْفَعْنِي بَيْنَ عِبادِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي عَمَّنْ هُوَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّي، وَزِدْنِي إلَيْكَ فَاقَةً وَفَقْراً، وَأَعِذْنِي مِنْ شَمَاتَةِ الأَعْدَاءِ، وَمِنْ حُلُولِ الْبَلاءِ، وَمِنَ الذُّلِّ وَالْعَنَاءِ، تَغَمَّدْنِي فِيمَا اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنِّي بِمَا يَتَغَمَّدُ بِهِ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى الْبَطْشِ لَوْلاَ حِلْمُهُ، وَالآخِذُ عَلَى الْجَرِيرَةِ لَوْلاَ أَناتُهُ، وَإذَا أَرَدْتَ بِقَوْم فِتْنَةً أَوْ سُوءاً فَنَجِّنِي مِنْهَا لِواذاً بِكَ، وَإذْ لَمْ تُقِمْنِي مَقَامَ فَضِيحَة فِي دُنْيَاكَ فَلاَ تُقِمْنِي مِثْلَهُ فِيْ آخِرَتِكَ.
And intercede for me with the beginnings of Your bounties with their ends, and Your ancient benefits with their new occurrences. And do not extend a term for me with which my heart hardens, and do not strike me with a sudden blow by which my splendor vanishes, and do not brand me with a meanness by which my worth is belittled, and a defect because of which my position is unknown, and do not terrify me with a terror by which I despair, nor a fear beyond which I dread.
Wa shfa' li awa'ila minanik bi-awakhiriha, wa qadima fawa'idik bi-hawadithiha. Wa la tamdud liya maddan yaqsu ma'ahu qalbi, wa la taqra'ni qari'atan yadhhabu laha baha'i, wa la tasumni khasisatan yasghuru laha qadri, wa la naqisatan yujhalu min ajliha makani, wa la taru'ni raw'atan ublisu biha, wa la khifatan awjisu dunaha.
وَاشْفَعْ لِي أَوَائِلَ مِنَنِكَ بِأَوَاخِرِهَا، وَقَدِيمَ فَوَائِدِكَ بِحَوَادِثِهَا. وَلاَ تَمْدُدْ لِيَ مَدّاً يَقْسُو مَعَهُ قَلْبِي، وَلاَ تَقْرَعْنِي قَارِعَةً يَذْهَبُ لَها بَهَائِي، وَلاَ تَسُمْنِي خَسِيْسَةً يَصْغُرُ لَهَا قَدْرِي، وَلاَ نَقِيصَةً يُجْهَلُ مِنْ أَجْلِهَا مَكَانِي، وَلاَ تَرُعْنِي رَوْعَةً أُبْلِسُ بِهَا، وَلاَ خِيْفةً أوجِسُ دُونَهَا.
Make my awe [directed] at Your threat, and my caution [directed] at Your warning and Your cautioning, and my dread [directed] at the recitation of Your verses. And populate my night by my staying awake in it for Your worship, and my being alone in night vigil for You, and my being stripped bare in my reliance upon You, and the descent of my needs upon You, and my contending with You for the freeing of my neck from Your Fire, and my seeking refuge from what its people are in of Your punishment.
Ij'al haybati fi wa'idik, wa hadhari min i'dharik wa indharik, wa rahbati 'inda tilawati ayatik. Wa'mur layli bi-iqazi fihi li-'ibadatika, wa tafarrudi bi-at-tahajjudi lak, wa tajarrudi bi-sukuni ilayk, wa inzali hawa'iji bik, wa munazalati iyyak fi fakaki raqabati min narik, wa ijaraati mimma fihi ahlaha min 'adhabik.
اجْعَلْ هَيْبَتِي في وَعِيدِكَ، وَحَذَرِي مِنْ إعْذارِكَ وَإنْذَارِكَ، وَرَهْبَتِي عِنْدَ تِلاَوَةِ آياتِكَ. وَاعْمُرْ لَيْلِي بِإيقَاظِي فِيهِ لِعِبَادَتِكَ، وَتَفَرُّدِي بِالتَّهَجُّدِ لَكَ، وَتَجَرُّدِي بِسُكُونِي إلَيْكَ، وَإنْزَالِ حَوَائِجِي بِكَ، وَمُنَازَلَتِي إيَّاكَ فِي فَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِي مِنْ نَارِكَ، وَإجَارَتِي مِمَّا فِيهِ أَهْلُهَا مِنْ عَذَابِكَ.
And do not leave me wandering aimlessly in my transgression, and not oblivious in my heedlessness until a time, and do not make me a lesson for one who takes heed, nor a punishment for one who considers, nor a temptation for one who looks, and do not plot against me among those You plot against, and do not replace me with another, and do not change my name, and do not substitute my body, and do not take me as a mockery for Your creation, and not a laughingstock for You, and not a follower except for Your pleasure, and not disgraced except by taking revenge for You.
Wa la tadharni fi tughyani 'amihan, wa la fi ghamrati sahiyan hatta hin, wa la taj'alni 'ithatan li-mani itta'az, wa la nakalan li-mani i'tabar, wa la fitnatan li-man nazar, wa la tamkur biya fi-man tamkuru bih, wa la tastabdil biya ghayri, wa la tughayyir li isman, wa la tubaddil li jisman, wa la tattakhidhni huzuwan li-khalqik, wa la sukhriyyan lak, wa la taba'an illa li-mardatik, wa la mumtahanan illa bi-intiqam lak.
وَلاَ تَذَرْنِي فِي طُغْيَانِي عَامِهاً، وَلاَ فِي غَمْرَتِي سَاهِياً حَتَّى حِين، وَلاَ تَجْعَلْنِي عِظَةً لِمَنِ اتَّعَظَ، وَلاَ نَكَالاً لِمَنِ اعْتَبَرَ، وَلاَ فِتْنَةً لِمَن نَظَرَ، وَلاَ تَمْكُرْ بِيَ فِيمَنْ تَمْكُرُ بِهِ، وَلاَ تَسْتَبْدِلْ بِيَ غَيْرِي، وَلاَ تُغَيِّرْ لِيْ إسْماً، وَلاَ تُبدِّلْ لِي جِسْماً، وَلاَ تَتَّخِذْنِي هُزُوَاً لِخَلْقِكَ، وَلاَ سُخْرِيّاً لَكَ، وَلاَ تَبَعاً إلاَّ لِمَرْضَاتِكَ، وَلاَ مُمْتَهَناً إلاَّ بِالإنْتِقَامِ لَكَ.
And let me find the coolness of Your pardon, and the sweetness of Your mercy and Your gentle breeze and Your sweet basil and Your Garden of Delight, and let me taste the savor of dedication to what You love, with a vastness from Your vastness, and the striving in what brings near to You and in Your Presence, and present me with a gift from Your gifts, and make my trade profitable, and my return not losing, and make me fear Your Station, and make me yearn for Your meeting. And accept my sincere repentance, leaving no sins with it, neither small nor great, and leaving with it neither what is open nor what is secret, and remove the malice from my breast toward the believers, and incline my heart toward the reverent, and be for me as You are for the righteous, and adorn me with the ornament of the God-fearing, and appoint for me a truthful tongue among those who remain, and a growing remembrance among the latter generations, and bring me to the plain of the former generations, and complete the fullness of Your blessing upon me, and make its bestowals manifest with me, and fill my hands from Your benefits, and drive the noblest of Your gifts toward me, and let me neighbor the purest of Your friends in the Gardens You have adorned for Your chosen ones, and cover me with the noblest of Your grants in the stations prepared for Your beloved ones, and appoint for me a resting place with You where I take shelter, feeling secure, and a resort where I settle down and am delighted.
Wa awjidni barda 'afwik, wa halawata rahmatik wa rawḥik wa rayḥanik wa jannati na'imik, wa adhiqni ta'ma al-faragh li-ma tuḥibb bi-sa'atin min sa'atik, wa al-ijtihada fima yuzlifu ladayk wa 'indak, wa atḥifni bi-tuḥfatin min tuḥafatik, wa j'al tijarati rabiḥatan, wa karrati ghayra khasiratan, wa akhifni maqamak, wa shawwiqni li-liqa'ik, wa tub 'alayya tawbatan naṣuḥan la tubqi ma'aha dhunuban ṣaghiratan wa la kabiratan, wa la tadhar ma'aha 'alaniyatan wa la sirratan, wa nza' al-ghilla min ṣadri li-al-mu'minin, wa a'ṭif bi-qalbi 'ala al-khashi'in, wa kun li kama takunu li-aṣ-ṣaliḥin, wa ḥallini ḥilyata al-muttaqin, wa j'al liya lisana ṣidqin fi al-ghabirin, wa dhikran namiyan fi al-akhirin, wa wafi biya 'arṣata al-awwalin, wa tammim subugha ni'matik 'alayy, wa ẓahir karamatuha ladayy, imla' min fawa'idik yadayy, wa suq kara'ima mawahibik ilayy, wa jawir biya al-aṭyabina min awliya'ik fi al-jinan allati zayyantaha li-aṣfiya'ik, wa jallilni sharafa niḥalik fi al-maqamati al-mu'addati li-aḥibba'ik, wa j'al liya 'indaka maqilan awi ilayhi muṭma'innan, wa mathabatan atabawwa'uha wa aqarru 'aynan.
وَأَوْجِدْنِي بَرْدَ عَفْوِكَ، وحَلاَوَةَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَرَوْحِكَ، وَرَيْحَانِكَ وَجَنَّةِ نَعِيْمِكَ، وَأَذِقْنِي طَعْمَ الْفَرَاغِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ بِسَعَة مِنْ سَعَتِكَ، وَالاجْتِهَادِ فِيمَا يُزْلِفُ لَدَيْكَ وَعِنْدَك، وَأَتْحِفْنِي بِتُحْفَة مِنْ تُحَفَاتِكَ، وَاجْعَلْ تِجَارَتِي رَابِحَةً، وَكَرَّتِي غَيْرَ خَاسِرَة، وَأَخِفْنِي مَقَامَكَ، وَشَوِّقْنِي لِقاءَكَ، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحاً لاَ تُبْقِ مَعَهَا ذُنُوباً صِغِيرَةً وَلا كَبِيرَةً، وَلاَ تَذَرْ مَعَهَا عَلاَنِيَةً وَلاَ سَرِيرَةً، وَانْزَعِ الْغِلَّ مِنْ صَدْرِي لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَاعْطِفْ بِقَلْبِي عَلَى الْخَاشِعِيْنَ، وَكُنْ لِي كَمَا تَكُونُ لِلصَّالِحِينَ، وَحَلِّنِي حِلْيَةَ الْمُتَّقِينَ، وَاجْعَلْ لِيَ لِسَانَ صِدْق فِي الْغَابِرِيْنَ، وَذِكْراً نامِياً فِي الآخِرِينَ، وَوَافِ بِيَ عَرْصَةَ الأَوَّلِينَ، وَتَمِّمْ سُبُوغَ نِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَظَاهِرْ كَرَامَاتِهَا لَدَيَّ، إمْلأْ مِنْ فَوَائِدِكَ يَدَيَّ، وَسُقْ كَرَائِمَ مَوَاهِبِكَ إلَيَّ، وَجَاوِرْ بِيَ الأَطْيَبِينَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآئِكَ فِي الْجِنَاْنِ الَّتِي زَيَّنْتَهَا لأَِصْفِيائِكَ، وَجَلِّلْنِي شَرَائِفَ نِحَلِكَ فِي الْمَقَامَاتِ الْمُعَدَّةِ لأَِحِبَّائِكَ، وَاجْعَلْ لِيَ عِنْدَكَ مَقِيْلاً آوِي إلَيْهِ مُطْمَئِنّاً، وَمَثابَةً أَتَبَوَّأُهَا وَأَقَرُّ عَيْناً.
And do not reckon with me according to the enormities of offenses, and do not destroy me on the Day when secrets are tested, and remove from me all doubt and ambiguity, and appoint for me a way to the Truth from every mercy, and make abundant for me the portions of gifts from Your grant, and increase for me the shares of benevolence from Your grace, and make my heart trusting in what is with You, and my concern wholly devoted to what is for You, and employ me in what You employ Your chosen ones to do, and saturate my heart with Your obedience when minds are oblivious.
Wa la tuqayisni bi-azimati al-jara'ir, wa la tuhlikni yawma tubla as-sara'ir, wa azil anni kulla shakkin wa shubhah, wa j'al li fi al-haqqi tariqan min kulli rahmah, wa ajzil li qisama al-mawahibi min nawalik, wa waffir alayya huthutha al-ihsani min ifdalik, wa j'al qalbi wathiqan bi-ma indak, wa hammiya mustafraghan li-ma huwa lak, wa sta'milni bi-ma tasta'milu bihi khalisatak, wa ashrib qalbi inda dhuhuli al-uquli ta'atak.
وَلاَ تُقَايِسْنِي بِعَظِيمَاتِ الْجَرَائِرِ، وَلاَ تُهْلِكْنِي يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ، وَأَزِلْ عَنِّي كُلَّ شَكٍّ وَشُبْهَة، وَاجْعَلْ لِي فِي الْحَقِّ طَرِيقاً مِنْ كُلِّ رَحْمَة، وأَجْزِلْ لِي قِسَمَ الْمَواهِبِ مِنْ نَوَالِكَ، وَوَفِّرْ عَلَيَّ حُظُوظَ الإِحْسَانِ مِنْ إفْضَالِكَ، وَاجْعَلْ قَلْبِي وَاثِقاً بِمَا عِنْدَكَ، وَهَمِّيَ مُسْتَفْرَغاً لِمَا هُوَ لَكَ، وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِما تَسْتَعْمِلُ بِهِ خَالِصَتَكَ، وَأَشْرِبْ قَلْبِي عِنْدَ ذُهُولِ العُقُولِ طَاعَتَكَ.
And gather for me wealth, chastity, serenity, and freedom from affliction, and health, abundance, tranquility, and well-being, and do not frustrate my good deeds by what taints them of Your disobedience, and not my privacy by what assails me of the whispers of Your temptation, and preserve my face from seeking from anyone in the worlds, and ward me off from seeking what is with the wicked, and do not make me a supporter for the wrongdoers, and not a hand or helper for them in obliterating Your Book, and surround me from where I do not know with a protection by which You guard me, and open for me the doors of Your repentance, Your mercy, Your tenderness, and Your vast provision, for I am one of the desirous toward You, and complete Your favor upon me, truly You are the best of those who confer favor.
Wa-jma' li al-ghina, wa al-'afafa, wa ad-da'ata, wa al-mu'afat, wa as-sihhata, wa as-sa'ata, wa at-tuma'ninata, wa al-'afiyah, wa la tuhbit hasanati bi-ma yashubaha min ma'siyatik, wa la khalawati bi-ma ya'ridu liya min nazaghati fitnatik, wa sun wajhi 'an at-talabi ila ahadin min al-'alamin, wa dhubbani 'an al-imasi ma 'inda al-fasiqin, wa la taj'alni li-az-zalimina zahiran, wa la lahum 'ala mahwi kitabika yadan wa nasiran, wa hutni min haythu la a'lamu hiyatatan taqini biha, wa-ftah liya abwaba tawbatik wa rahmatik wa ra'fatik wa rizqika al-wasi', inni ilayka min ar-raghibin, wa atmim li in'amak, innaka khayru al-mun'imin.
وَاجْمَعْ لِي الْغِنى، وَالْعَفَافَ، وَالدَّعَةَ، وَالْمُعَافَاةَ، وَالصِّحَّةَ، وَالسَّعَةَ، وَالطُّمَأْنِيْنَةَ، وَالْعَافِيَةَ، وَلاَ تُحْبِطْ حَسَنَاتِي بِمَا يَشُوبُهَا مِنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ، وَلاَ خَلَواتِي بِمَا يَعْرِضُ لِيَ مِنْ نَزَغَاتِ فِتْنَتِكَ، وَصُنْ وَجْهِي عَنِ الطَّلَبِ إلَى أَحَد مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ، وَذُبَّنِي عَنِ التِماسِ مَا عِنْدَ الفَاسِقِينَ، وَلاَ تَجْعَلْنِي لِلظَّالِمِينَ ظَهِيراً، وَلاَ لَهُمْ عَلى مَحْوِ كِتَابِكَ يَداً وَنَصِيراً، وَحُطْنِي مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ أَعْلَمُ حِيَاطَةً تَقِيْنِي بِهَا، وَافْتَحْ لِيَ أَبْوَابَ تَوْبَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ وَرَأْفَتِكَ وَرِزْقِكَ الواسِعِ، إنِّي إلَيْكَ مِنَ الرَّاغِبِينَ، وَأَتْمِمْ لِيَ إنْعَامَكَ، إنَّكَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْعِمِيْن.
And appoint the rest of my life to the Hajj and the ‘Umrah, seeking Your Face, O Lord of the Worlds. And may God bless Muhammad and his pure, purified Household, and peace be upon him and upon them forever and ever.
Wa-j'al baqiya 'umri fi al-hajj wa al-'umrah ibtigha'a wajhika ya Rabba al-'alamin, wa salla Allahu 'ala Muhammad wa alihi at-tayyibina at-tahirina, wa as-salamu 'alayhi wa 'alayhim abada al-abidin.
وَاجْعَلْ باقِيَ عُمْرِيْ فِي الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِكَ يَا ربَّ الْعَالَمِينَ، وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ، وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَبَدَ الآبِدِينَ.
