In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
O God,
as for the Bearers of Your Throne, who
Never flag in glorifying You,
Never become weary of calling You holy,
Never tire of worshipping You,
Never prefer curtailment over diligence in Your command,
and are never heedless of passionate love for You;
Allahumma wa hamalatu Arshika alladheena la yafturoona min tasbeehik, wa la yas'amoona min taqdeesik, wa la yastahsiroona min ibadatik, wa la yu'thiroona at-taqseera ala al-jiddee fee amrik, wa la yaghfuloona ani al-walahi ilayk.
اللَّهُمَّ وَحَمَلَةُ عَرْشِكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ مِنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ، وَلَا يَسْـأَمُـونَ مِنْ تَقْـدِيْسِـكَ، وَلَا يَسْتَحسِرُونَ مِنْ عِبَادَتِكَ، وَلَا يُؤْثِرُونَ التَّقْصِيرَ عَلَى الْجِدِّ فِي أَمْرِكَ، وَلَا يَغْفُلُونَ عَنِ الْوَلَهِ إِلَيْكَ.
Israfil (Seraphiel)
The owner of the Trumpet, fixed in his gaze,
Awaiting Your permission and the descent of the Command,
That he may arouse through the Blast
The hostages thrown down in the graves;
Wa Israfilu sahibu as-soori, ash-shakhisu alladhee yantaziru minka al-idhna wa huloola al-amri, fayunabbihu bin-nafkhah sar'a rahaini al-quboor.
وَإسْرافِيلُ صَاحِبُ الصُّورِ، الشَّاخِصُ الَّذِي يَنْتَظِرُ مِنْكَ الاذْنَ وَحُلُولَ الأَمْرِ، فَيُنَبِّهُ بِالنَّفْخَةِ صَرْعَى رَهَائِنِ الْقُبُورِ.
Michael (Mika'il) and Gabriel (Jibreel)
Michael,
The possessor of a high stand in Your view
and an elevated status in Your obedience;
Gabriel,
Entrusted with Your revelation,
Obeyed by the inhabitants of Your heavens,
Distinguished in Your Presence,
Brought nigh to You;
Wa Meekaa-eelu dhul-jahi indaka, wal-makaani ar-rafee'i min ta'atik. Wa Jibreelu al-ameen ala wahyik, al-mutaa'u fee ahli samawatik, al-makeenu ladayk, al-muqarrabu indak.
وَمِيكَآئِيلُ ذُوالْجَاهِ عِنْدَكَ، وَالْمَكَانِ الرَّفِيعِ مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ.
وَجِبْرِيلُ الْأَمِينُ عَلَى وَحْيِكَ، الْمُطَاعُ فِي أَهْلِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ، الْمَكِينُ لَدَيْكَ، الْمُقَرَّبُ عِنْدَكَ،
The spirit who is over the angels of the veils;
and the spirit
Who is of Your command;
Bless them and the angels below them:
The residents in Your heavens,
Those entrusted with Your messages,
Those who become not wearied by perseverance,
or exhausted and flagged by toil,
Whom passions do not distract from glorifying You,
and whose magnification of You is never cut off by the inattention of heedless moments;
[having] Their eyes lowered, they do not attempt to look at You;
[having] Their chins bowed, they have long desired what is with You;
unrestrained in mentioning Your boons,
They remain humble before Your mightiness and the majesty of Your magnificence;
Those who say when they look upon Gehennam (Hellfire)
Roaring over the people who disobeyed You:
'Glory be to You,
We have not worshipped You
with the worship You deserve!'
Wa ar-Roohu alladhee huwa ala malaa'ikati al-hujub, wa ar-Roohu alladhee huwa min amrik. Allahumma fa salli alayhim wa ala al-malaa'ikati alladheena min doonihim, min sukkaani samawatik wa ahli al-amaanati ala risaalatik. Wa alladheena la tadkhuluhum sa'matun min du'oob, wa la i'yaa'un min lughoobiw-wa la futoor. Wa la tashghaluhum an tasbeehik ash-shahawaat, wa la yaqta'uhum an ta'dheemika sahwu al-ghaflaat. Al-khushsha'u al-absari fala yaroomoona an-nadhara ilayk, an-nawaakisu al-adhqaan alladheena qad taalat raghbatuhum feema ladayk, al-mustahtiroona bi dhikri aalaa'ik, wal-mutawadi'oona doona adhamatik wa jalali kibriyaa'ik. Wa alladheena yaqooloona idha nadharoo ila Jahannama tazfiru ala ahli ma'siyatik: Subhanaka ma abadnaka haqqa ibadatik.
وَالرُّوحُ الَّذِي هُوَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةِ الْحُجُبِ، وَالرُّوحُ الَّذِي هُوَ مِنْ أَمْرِكَ.
أَللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَى الْمَلَائِكَـةِ الَّـذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ مِنْ سُكَّـانِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ وَأَهْلِ الْأَمَانَةِ عَلَى رِسَالَاتِكَ، وَالَّذِينَ لَا تَدْخُلُهُمْ سَأْمَةٌ مِنْ دُؤُوب، وَلَا إِعْيَاءٌ مِنْ لُغُوب وَلَا فُتُورٌ، وَلَا تَشْغَلُهُمْ عَنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ الشَّهَوَاتُ، وَلَا يَقْطَعُهُمْ عَنْ تَعْظِيمِكَ سَهْوُ الْغَفَلَاتِ، الْخُشَّعُ الْأَبْصَارِ فَلَا يَرُومُونَ النَّظَرَ إِلَيْكَ، النَّوَاكِسُ الْأَذْقَانِ الَّذِينَ قَدْ طَالَتْ رَغْبَتُهُمْ فِيمَا لَدَيْكَ الْمُسْتَهْتِرُونَ بِذِكْرِ آلَائِكَ وَالْمُتَوَاضِعُونَ دُونَ عَظَمَتِكَ وَجَلَالِ كِبْرِيَائِكَ وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ إِذَا نَظَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ تَزْفِرُ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَعْصِيَتِكَ: سُبْحَانَكَ مَا عَبَدْنَاكَ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِكَ.
Bless them,
and Your angels who are the Reposeful,
Those of proximity to You,
Those who carry the unseen to Your messengers,
Those entrusted with Your revelation,
The tribes of angels
Whom You have singled out for Yourself,
Freed from need for food and drink by their calling You holy,
and made to dwell inside Your heavens' layers,
Those who will stand upon the heavens' borders
When the Command descends to complete Your promise,
Fa salli alayhim wa ala ar-Rawhaneeyyeena mim malaa'ikatik, wa ahli az-zulfati indak, wa hummaali al-ghaybi ila rusulik, wal-moo'tamaneena ala wahyik. Wa qabaa'ili al-malaa'ikati alladheen akhtasastahum li nafsik, wa aghnaytahum ani at-ta'aami wash-sharaabi bi taqdeesik, wa askantahum butoona atbaaqi samawatik, wa alladheena ala arjaa'iha idha nazala al-amru bi tamaami wa'dik.
فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَى الرَّوْحَانِيِّينَ مِنْ مَلَائِكَتِكَ، وَ أهْلِ الزُّلْفَةِ عِنْدَكَ، وَحُمَّالِ الْغَيْبِ إِلَى رُسُلِكَ، وَالْمُؤْتَمَنِينَ عَلَى وَحْيِكَ وَقَبَائِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ الَّذِينَ اخْتَصَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ، وَأَغْنَيْتَهُمْ عَنِ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ بِتَقْدِيْسِكَ، وَأَسْكَنْتَهُمْ بُطُونَ أَطْبَاقِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ، وَالّذِينَ عَلَى أَرْجَائِهَا إِذَا نَزَلَ الْأَمْرُ بِتَمَامِ وَعْدِكَ،
The keepers of the rain,
The drivers of the clouds,
Him at whose rebuking sound is heard the rolling of thunder,
and when the reverberating clouds touch him,
Bolts of lightning flash;
The escorts of snow and hail,
The descendants with the drops of rain when they fall,
The watchers over the treasuries of the winds,
Those charged with the mountains lest they disappear,
Those whom You have taught the weights of the waters
and the measures contained by torrents and masses of rain;
Wa khuzzaani al-matari wa zawaajiri as-sahab, wa alladhee bi sawti zajrihi yusma'u zajalu ar-ru'ood, wa idha sabahhat bihi hafeefatu as-sahabi iltama'at sawaa'iqu al-burooq. Wa mushayyi'ee ath-thalji wal-barad. Wal-habiteena ma'a qatri al-matari idha nazal, wal-quwaami ala khazaa'ini ar-riyaah, wal-muwakkaleena bil-jibaali fala tazool. Wa alladheenaarraf tahum mathaqeela al-miyaahi, wa kayla ma tahweehi lawa'iju al-amtari wa awaalijuha.
وَخُزَّانِ الْمَطَرِ وَزَوَاجِرِ السَّحَابِ، وَالّذِي بِصَوْتِ زَجْرِهِ يُسْمَعُ زَجَلُ الرُّعُودِ، وَإِذَا سَبَحَتْ بِهِ حَفِيفَةُ السَّحَابِ الْتَمَعَتْ صَوَاعِقُ الْبُرُوقِ.
وَمُشَيِّعِيْ الثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ. وَالْهَابِطِينَ مَعَ قَطْرِ الْمَطَر إِذَا نَزَلَ، وَالْقُوَّامِ عَلَى خَزَائِنِ الرِّيَاحِ، وَالْمُوَكَّلِينَ بِالْجِبَالِ فَلَا تَزُولُ.
وَالَّذِينَ عَرَّفْتَهُمْ مَثَاقِيلَ الْمِيَاهِ، وَكَيْلَ مَا تَحْوِيهِ لَوَاعِجُ الْأَمْطَارِ وَعَوَالِجُهَا،
The angels who are Your messengers to the people of the earth
with the disliked affliction that comes down
and the beloved ease;
The devoted, noble scribes,
The watchers, noble writers,
The angel of death and his helpers,
Munkar and Nakir,
Rumaan, the tester in the graves,
The circlers of the Inhabited House,
Malik and the guardians,
Ridwan and the gatekeepers of the gardens,
Those who disobey not God in What He commands them and do What they are commanded; (66:06);
Those who say, Peace be upon you, for that you were patient - and fair is the Ultimate Abode; (13:24);
The Zabaniya, who, when it is said to them, take him, and fetter him, then roast him in hell, (69:30), hasten to accomplish it, nor do they give him any respite;
Wa rusulika mina al-malaa'ikati ila ahli al-ardi bi makroohi ma yanzilu min al-balaa'i, wa mahboobi ar-rakhaa'i, was-safarati al-kiraami al-bararah, wal-hafazati al-kiraami al-katibeen, wa malaki al-mawti wa a'wanih, wa Munkariw-wa Nakeer, wa Rumaana fattani al-quboor, wat-taa'ifeena bil-Bayti al-Ma'moor, wa Maalik, wal-khazanah, wa Ridwaan, wa sadanati al-jinaan. Wa alladheena la ya'soona Allaha ma amarahum wa yaf'aloona ma yu'maroon. Wa alladheena yaqooloona: Salaamun alaykum bima sabartum fa ni'ma uqbaa ad-daar. Wa az-Zabaaniyatu alladheena idha qeela lahum: Khudhoolhoo fa ghullooh thumma al-jaheema sallooh ibtadaroohoo siraa'an wa lam yundhirooh.
وَرُسُلِكَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بِمَكْرُوهِ مَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ، وَمَحْبُوبِ الرَّخَاءِ، وَالسَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ، وَالْحَفَظَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْكَاتِبِينَ، وَمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَأَعْوَانِهِ، وَمُنْكَر وَنَكِير، وَرُومَانَ فَتَّانِ الْقُبُورِ، وَالطَّائِفِينَ بِالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ، وَمَالِك، وَالْخَزَنَةِ، وَرُضْوَانَ، وَسَدَنَةِ الْجِنَانِ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ.
وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ: ﴿سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ﴾. وَالزَّبَانِيَةُ الذِينَ إِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ: ﴿خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ﴾ ابْتَدَرُوهُ سِرَاعاً وَلَمْ يُنْظِرُوهُ.
Him whom we have failed to mention,
Not knowing his place with You,
Nor with which command You have charged him;
And the residents in the air, the earth, and the water,
And those of them charged over the creatures;
Bless them on the day when every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness, (50-21),
And bless them with a blessing that will add
Honor to their honor
And purity to their purity.
O God,
and when You bless Your angels and Your messengers
and You extend our blessings to them,
Bless us through the good words about them
Which You have opened up for us!
You are Munificent, Generous.
Wa man awhamna dhikrahu, wa lam na'lam makanahu minka, wa bi ayyi amriw-wakkaltah. Wa sukkaanu al-hawaa'i wal-ardi wal-maa'i, wa mam-minhum ala al-khalq. Fa salli alayhim yawma ta'tee kullu nafsim-ma'aha saa'iquw-wa shaheed. Wa salli alayhim salatan tazeeduhum karamatan ala karamatihim, wa taharatan ala taharatihim. Allahumma wa idha sallayta ala malaa'ikatika wa rusulik, wa ballaghtahum salatana alayhim, fa salli alayhim bima fatahta lana min husni al-qawli feehim innaka jawwadun kareem.
وَمَنْ أَوْهَمْنَا ذِكْرَهُ، وَلَمْ نَعْلَمْ مَكَانَهُ مِنْكَ، وَبِأَيِّ أَمْر وَكَّلْتَهُ.
وَسُكَّانُ الْهَوَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْمَاءِ، وَمَنْ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْس مَعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ، وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَاةً تَزِيدُهُمْ كَرَامَةً عَلَى كَرَامَتِهِمْ، وَطَهَارَةً عَلَى طَهَارَتِهِمْ.
اللّهُمَّ وَإِذَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَتِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ، وَبَلَّغْتَهُمْ صَلَاتَنَا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمَا فَتَحْتَ لَنَا مِنْ حُسْنِ الْقَوْلِ فِيهِمْ إِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيمٌ.
